Howlin'Wolf was a Charley Patton disciple.
Muddy Waters, like Robert Johnson, learned his ABC from Son House.
But I think I know what you mean.
After Muddy arrived in Chicago, he formed a band, plugged in and amplified his roots.
Don't get wrong though. I love the Smithsonian Folkways stuff too.
I'm also a big fan of guys like Blind Willie Mctell & Blind Willie Johnson.
Before Steam, I often played as BlindWillie.
Until I started participating in Clan tournaments and was asked to change my nick.
I guess they didn't get the reference ;)
btw
I don't make music myself.
If only I had that talent...
Most blues lovers I know play some instrument as well. Are you a musician?
It was either Howlin’Waters or MuddyWolf for me.
For the sake of ease I chose the second.
Most of my Steam friends don’t get the connection anyways.
That’s okay but it’s always nice to meet a fellow Blues head :)
