Fantastic! If you liek story driven gameplay, tech and the 80's, this is a no brainer to buy. It's amazing!

I've played Elite:Dangerous for weeks now and I've decided to uninstall it.
The game looks OK, gameplay is acceptable and audio is quite good, so why delete it?

Well, first: it's extremely repetitive. After doing choires one after the other, any next assignment just feels like the one you did before and the one before that.
Also the environments you visit (stations) emphesize on the game's repetition due to the fact that they all look the same, either from the inside or the outside. Sure, there are a handfull of different types of stations (small up to huge) but that's it. If you visit a station in one part of the universe and then fly to the other side of the universe, you will find the exact same station there!
It doen't make anything "special".

Second, it doesn't give you the feeling you're part of something bigger (or smaller for that matter). I've been playing on the open multiplayer world exclusively and during these weeks I've not even once communicated or cooperated with any other human player. The game is simply too much focused on gaining cash to buy the next upgrade. The element of multiplayer is just not felt throughout the game and you won't make friends online very easily, like other games naturally do. I'm not saying you can not play with friends as you clearly can.

Third: The entire powerstruggle between the factions, clusters and stations just don't make any sense, nor make you feel part of it. It doen't make you feel proud representing a faction or makes you feel "at home" in a particular area or station.

I was expecting a lot from Elite: Dangerous and I liked the first days learning the controls and mechanics of the game but after that period it just doesn't capture your attention and becomes boring or tedious most of the times.
It just doesn't make you feel to "have another go", which is a shame.
