As part of an auxiliary force for Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals, Gerard's simple task was to gather outbreak statistics on Earth. This was part of the noble organization's program to reassign personnel based on capabilities of certain civilizations to fight off known hostile organisms plaguing the system. Gerard knew that SOL had three hostile types, thus the need for more Blacksteel Worldwide contractors for this system alone. But, even the stationed forces knew that soon it will not be enough.
