I was dissociative for most of my life until at the age of 17 my hand slipped on the google play app and instead of downloading le fortnite and i downloaded le progress bar 95. It. changed. everything. games used to be you put in a quarter, you have 3 lives and then you die. progress bar 95 changed that.

i've been following the development for this game for years and can really safely say it was very worth it!! a very nice little game with an amazing soundtrack - if you enjoyed Moon: Remix RPG, this is a must play!

zenith is what you get when you cross a half-baked VR game with a quarter-baked MMO.
and its somehow still surprisingly really fun to play with buddies, honestly. id say wait for a couple more updates but if you have some friends to play it with, its a good few hours to spend

Something went astronomically wrong with this DLC and ive only been able to play four-ish normal-ish rounds amidst around 25 buggy messes with people getting infected in the lobby, ending early for no reason, etc.

wait for patches, the normal rounds that were there were pretty good i guess

I really, really, really liked the first half of this game. The visuals were absolutely stunning throughout the entire game, and the sountrack was consistently great, but a lot of issues start shining halfway through the experience.

The gameplay was fine, I liked some of the puzzles, but it feels like it came down to clicking faster than the enemy. Later in the game you'll need to deflect projectiles for some, but for some reason there's always a delay when hitting with the pan, so it always felt really clunky and badly timed???

As for the story - they set it up with a cast of very interesting and colorful characters and locations that, after moving "past" them in the story, you just don't ever see again. You can't return to past areas to get the secrets you missed, you cant talk to them and see how theyre doing, it feels like wasted potential or like the devs were rushed to get the game out. Even in the game's ending, you get a message that effectively says and everyone's okay! without actually seeing any of the characters the game spent 5 hours each fleshing out.
The entire second half of the story is horribly paced, because it feels like they decided to cram 80% of the story into the last 50% of the game -- up until that point you got snippets of things happening throughout the first half, but most of it was entirely unrelated scenes of fun stuff. Don't get me wrong, this was still very, very enjoyable, but it made cramming 80% of the story into the last half feel horribly rushed and awfully paced -- so much so that it was hard to follow along and actually understand what was happening for this half.

The game's got a lot of dark undertones and they bring a lot of interesting ideas to the table when hinting at everything when the game starts getting into its later chapters, but then when it actually comes time to address and pull the tarp off, they hardly actually show anything of importance or actually explore the concepts theyd been hinting at throughout the entire game. I wanted to SEE the human refinement cycle in action, i wanted to learn about where it came from or who sam was before, or what relation john's sam had to do with it , but the game only lightly touches on any of it.

The ending was just entirely unsatisfying. Without going into too much detail, congrats! you saved sam! and everyone's okay!, again without actually SEEING any of the characters the game spent 20 hours having you get to know up until that point. No going back and talking to them or hunting for secrets, it does what zelda does and saves right before the final scenes, the only difference is that zelda doesn't have a "point of no return" whereas eastward has you constantly moving past characters you're fated to just never, ever see again. The amount of characters (not including the protagonists) you see past the "final battle" is three, when the game easily had 10 to 20 memorable characters I was left wanting to hear from after the events of the ending.

And it sucks, i thoroughly enjoyed the first half and the visuals never let up in how beautiful they are, every place felt unique and wonderful, but unfortunately i can't recommend this game if you're looking for a good story (or any sort of complex gameplay, for that matter).
If they make a sequel in the same universe that focuses on different characters, play this one for prior knowledge. Otherwise, I was left feeling really unsatisfied.

i love this !! the animation tools are very easy to use and its just a nice program to look at.
