Activision can go suck a fat one, Not only is the performance dropping each time you update this game- But instead of focusing on making the game fun y'all are going around banhammering random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ old MW2 mods and shutting alternate clients down. It won't force people to play this ♥♥♥♥. And god help anyone thinking of buying the next CoD that's being made by sledgehammer, Lmao.

Look elsewhere folks, if you're itching for a tight, run and gun type of game go play Ironsight instead (it's free as well and it's essentially black ops 2 with kinda mid maps but really well copied gameplay)

Now that's what i call
Half-assing it fully

Arguably the prettiest out of the trilogy and worst shooting wise. In Vanilla it truly cannot be understated how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the aiming is, most likely due to the fact that they've just added the upgrade system for weapons, but even then it's just bad rather than fun bad. SRP is an absolute must have "mod" with this one, It's still gonna suck in the shooting department but at least somewhat less so, Vanilla+ mods are not exactly a thing for this game sadly.

It expands on the lore sufficently, the swamps are overall a pretty cool area and the rest of the map is shuffled around a bit with some new solid additions as well, the combat themes are a neat idea but usually sounding sorta out of place- They were most likely made to match the tone that the game is seemingly going for- but many would argue that it just doesn't exactly work.

There's a brand spanking new faction / warfare system happening across all the maps all the time (I believe) and the NPC members of each faction are duking it out between each other, doing small raids and stuff like that. The game world feels waay more alive like this, and this is arguably the tone of the story, Scar's main quest and the overall ambiance of the title. Even if you stray from the golden path you're still supposed to get that the zone just recently opened up a bunch of paths that weren't open before and that everyone an their mom are rushing to catch the hottest, newest artifact or just claim territory.

For me, i would argue that they definitely hit that note but probably not as hard as they could've.

Now THAT'S what i call
An Absolute Classic

The gunplay is dognuts and the general gameplay is just loveable jank. Highly recommend you get any sort of mod that makes it vanilla+ just so that the rooty tooty shooty bits are slightly more fun than frustrating ( playing this on Master which is the recommended diffculty already makes it so that everyone drops like flies, except the players accuracy is ♥♥♥♥. so the mods usually mitigate that)

What ties this finest of Jank together is the really fun and generally intruiging story and world mixed with seemingly helpless gameplay where you're almost always one wrong step from getting turned into just shoes, either by anomalies or enemy fire.

The atmosphere of the game cannot be praised enough, they've nailed the dying and rotten look of the Chernobyl exclusion zone mixed in with abandoned soviet labs, experiments gone wrong and frankly the bizzare but somehow-it-works body horror aspect of some enemies and places. The game looks fairly beliveable and completely fiction at the same time.
