I will recommend it because the game itself is excellent and my favorite game of all time. However, this port is rather lackluster compared to the console versions. The Squenix DRM, awkwardly pixelated backgrounds, and lack of the enhancers available on PS4/Xbox/Switch make those ports preferable over this out of the box.

With some modding the experience shifts and this does become the definitive way to play the game on a modern rig, but without those I wouldn't recommend this version. If you decide to go for this version, get the 7th Heaven mod with Remako. It is a game changer.
