I have run out of places to climb. I will abandon this body and take to the air.

Those who still doubt whether video games can be considered an art or not, should try to 'play' this one.

I have to say it: this is one of the most beautiful (in the fullest sense of the term) games I've ever see. It's a truly poetical experience.

'I’ve begun my voyage in a paper boat without a bottom; I will fly to the moon in it. I have been folded along a crease in time, a weakness in the sheet of life. Now, you’ve settled on the opposite side of the paper to me; I can see your traces in the ink that soaks through the fibre, the pulped vegetation. When we become waterlogged, and the cage disintegrates, we will intermingle. When this paper aeroplane leaves the cliff edge, and carves parallel vapour trails in the dark, we will come together.'

It has an stunning soundtrack and a very gorgeus atmosphere, where you can almost feel, in your own skin, the loneliness, the cold, the wind, etc.

The story is very open to different interpretations (this is an effect intentionally sought by the creators), so this beautiful experience will mean a different thing to each player.

For many people this could be a boring game or not even a game, I cannot refute that. Clearly, the walking simulators are not for everyone, and this one, which is one of the simplest, much less. You are able just to walk and to make zoom (cannot interact with anything, for example). But, you know what? This game doesn't need anything else. Dear Esther is about make you feel, and that is exactly what it makes.

Recommended for everyone who likes walking simulators, and for those who are looking for a meaningful and emotional experience.

*It is too short (about 2 hours).
