37 minutes of game play and I was good
Seriously, THAT much dialog while you're trying to survive a never ending chaos?

I feel like for the 5th game in a series they could have spent a little more attention to detail.

Honestly, it was fun while it lasted but not worth the time.

Sorry for those who disagree, this game is a complete mess lol

- Bonus point menus that disappear so fast you can't read them
- Information galore that you don't have a second to look at
- Terrible background graphics that make everything a blur
- A ridiculous story line that banters at you the entire time you're trying to play
- Similar colors on bonus pickups / enemy fire
- Can't we make the ship just a little higher resolution like, come on

Nope!

Modern Top Gear is how this feels to me. If you ever played the Top Gear games for SNES and enjoyed them then don't waste any time lol.... just buy it :P

Simple. Easy controls. Fluid and ridiculously fun.
Gameplay: Amazing
Soundtrack: Great
Nostalgia: 200%

Worth every penny. Cheap DLC too.
Grab Horizon Chase Turbo and waste a few hours of your life. Its the real deal :)

Edit: After spending a lot more time playing this game I didn't give it enough credit.
... that soundtrack too. 10/10

Valley. Open world parkour, in a body enhancing suit that gives you tons of different abilities and super fast running speed. What more can you ask for? Its challenging enough to make it fun, simple enough to not make you rage quit.

At first, I felt like this game was going to get repetitive really quick and it can, don't get me wrong but the story, the action, the length kept me glued the whole time. Basically, you discover a valley with mysterious powers. You find a suit that can give or take life, and runs off energy 'orbs' (for the most part) that the valley respawns. Actions taken while wearing the suit burns energy. You can replenish energy for your suit by finding orbs, or killing living things around you. Granted, there is an abundance of orbs and energy sources for you to have so I didn't really need to kill much to get through the game. Its a very interesting and different concept... and it works.

The game can be ran through in about 3-4 hours pretty easily but there is so much to explore in a surprisingly huge world. You unlock parts of the world by bringing dead trees back to life, which randomly drops acorns that are used as level unlocking currency. You find other items in the game that unlock upgrades and etc. I won't spoil anything by getting into detail but finding the acorns and items you need isn't very challenging in all which honestly, I didn't mind. It gave me the looting that I needed, without the hassle of distrupting the flow of the story.

Valley surprised me, and I definitely recommend giving it a shot. The fast paced gameplay gave me some great thrills, and the enviroment overall is beautiful. The story is good, easy to understand, and makes you just want to keep moving forward to find out just what is going on.

The Good:
- Graphics. Overall a stunning display of nature, valleys, water and mountains.
- Options. Lots of display options to tweak with and make it right.
- Gameplay. Fast paced. Thrilling. Gave myself the chills a few times flying through the air.
- Concept. Not like anything I have played before.
- Controls. Super easy. No crazy experience required.
- Story. Simple. Easy to follow. Kept me wanting more
- Length. A couple hours of intense gameplay. Worth it.

The Bad:
- Repetitive. If you're running through the story, its great. Lots of different twists turns and things to do but after the fact, I didn't really feel like going back to explore the world to find things I missed. I saw really, no point other than maybe achievements.
- Enemies. There is no real danger, the enemies are easy to deal with and you really don't come across that many. There are literally two different types of enemies... and one mega big ass boss.
- Glitches. A couple glitches, but nothing game breaking. Getting stuck in a place you can't move from. Acorns falling into areas you can't retrieve them. Little stuff, but still present.

Game rating: 8/10

I really feel like this game is incomplete. There should be more. I want more. Either way, play it!

The Town of Light is a story exploration game. Its not scary, but has haunting scenes and some twisted gameplay. I enjoyed the few hours to took to get through, overall it wasn't a terrible purchase. I would recommend this for people who truly enjoy story exploration and can handle some mature and graphic content at times. There is no failure, or dying. Its a straight run right to the end. Approximately 2.5-3.5 hours depending if you explore other parts of the world for fun.

The Good:
Graphics, environment, overall production.
Lots of graphic options. Thank you for taking the time to allow tweaking. (Something most indie games lack)
Not terribly difficult, no intense puzzles to solve.
Choices you make in the game effect storyline which gives some replayability.
Visually pleasing with some great cut scenes and downtime for story background.
Built in Unity, doesn't need an intense gaming computer to play nicely.
Lots of achievements.

Not the bad stuff, just the "meh" stuff:
Really, really slow paced. Walking is really slow overall, but I get why as its to make you truly appreciate your surroundings.
Some confusion of where to go. The directions that you are given don't exactly match the signage in the game. The words are similar, but I think its a translation issue that occured during production. Its easy enough to figure out, but still annoying.
The story is "good". It leaves you wondering for much of the game which is alright but there were some parts that just didn't make too much sense. The confusion was high on this one. I'm sure a few replays with different choices may iron out those questions you have.
When you make choices, it shows a symbol of you and crowd of people. Either its good, or bad and its X'd out. No explanation of this, still not sure what it means but I'm assuming its what determines where the story goes.
Grouped with my last point, lacks any real form of instruction minus the controls flashed during the beginning of the game.

Other things to note:
There are naked female bodies in this game. No big deal to me, but maybe to some. Not kid friendly in anyway.
The ending. Without spoilers, damn I did NOT see that coming. If you are squeemish, you'll probably look away.

Although there is some room for improvement, I truly did enjoy the game over all. 7.5/10
I snagged it on sale, and I suggest you do too. Enjoy!

Turn up your mouse sensitivity and enjoy some never fail parkour. Refunct was great overall, although you can run through it in about 30-45 minutes. I wasn't unsatified with my purchase. If you can get it cheap/on sale I'd go for it. Awesome soundtrack as well, really gets you pumping. Basically, you have to touch every platform to change them to green, and you raise other parts of the level from the water below by stepping on the required buttons on the ground. Simple yet very entertaining. Features wall jumping and climbing to get around. Another great short indie project that has easy achievements. I love these kinds of games! Go for it!

I've been taking some time to play a few story based games lately and Distraint surprised me!
Yes, it is quite short. Took me about 3 hours to complete but its weirdly creepy, yet not scary and it kept me entertained the whole time. A great little story, with a few heart string moments. I definitely recommend it for the price tag, overall I can't say Im disappointed with the purchase. Warning, a few small jump scares, but nothing too intense and some interesting noises / ambient sounds that give you a little bit of the heebie-jeebies. You can't die, nor do something wrong so sit back, and enjoy Distraint if you have a few hours to kill and you're bored of everything else.

I've only played an hour of this game, and let me tell you. If you like mass killing with no remorse. Grab. This. Game.
Controlls are a bit tricky at first, but decent. Graphics are pretty serious and some of the executions are pretty narly. If you can snag it on sale or have a few extra bucks, waste some time on Hatred.

Got this game on sale, since it had such high reviews. 100% worth the purchase, excellent visuals, decent story, a fun play. Took me about 4 hours to complete just causally. Played with the keyboard just fine so no need for a controller even though it says so. Simple problem solving with a few intense moments made for a nice adventure. A little cheesy sometimes but overall I would recommend it!
