This game is a gambling simulator. You gamble with your time and energy for a chance to get an item required to research a new descendant, items, weapons, or components. There's a lot of things you can easily get without playing the "chance game" but they're meaningless and not going to improve your character's stats all that much, if at all.

If you've played Destiny 1 or 2, Warframe or any of the third person looter shooter with online coop, then you've already played The First Descendant. Low skill, high amounts of grind, typical free to play game. I'd rather play videos games that gives you all the characters and only charge money for cosmetics. This game is not it.

Like to play a video game where the matchmaking algorithm is unbalanced and makes you lose 80% of the time by paring you with inexperience players? You're in luck! This piece of trash called Overwatch 2 is the game for you. Very rarely the matchmaking creates a fair game where either side of the team is of somewhat equal skill. Landslide facestomp is very common.

Have too much money and don't know what to do? Lucky you, this piece of trash of a video game has skins that cost $10 to $19 each. Perfect way to waste hundreds of dollars for literal worthless pixels.

Fun to play, but I won't be spending any money on it.

Early Access Review
My current review after playing it longer and trying out different champions, game modes and mixing up with more skilled players is that Paladins has a lot potential and seeing as its a free to play anyone can go in and try it without much trouble.

It's a good game and in general a very enjoyable experience. For anyone wondering, I bought the Founders Pack after 4-6 hours of playing it because I got lazy to pick which heroes to unlock and I really got into the game. Problem is, the players are not playing the objective which lets face it, is the main point of the game.

Understandable that it can get confusing if your new to the game and maybe you just want to kill things (Flanker, Damage champion) so that's not a big deal but the developers need to push players with visual or sound prompts to nudge players to PLAY THE OBJECTIVE regardless of their champions.

I will be playing Paladins a lot more in the future because it's a very enjoyable game, even if you lose like 10 in a row (ouch, lol). I mean don't get me wrong, I'm an ok player but trying to carry newbies every game is painful, like getting skye ultimate because your about 1CM outside the circle *GROAN*.

My initial review to NOT recommending palandins 4 days ago:

Honestly if there's a neutral review option, I would choose it. This game is not that bad, in fact its downright amazing.

The starting champions are amazingly fun and easy to get into. The free cards that you get is very good as well. If anything the game dev is being very generous for giving players so many goodies at the beginning of the game for FREE.

That being said, the lack of in-game tutorial and the lack of incentive to complete the objective is troublesome. Players need a sense of guidance or even some kind of PUSH to coerce them into standing in that circle or pushing that cart.

All I've experience is either:

A) My team consist of snipers that camps somewhere around the map and ME standing on the objective like a free meal to the enemy's team of 3-4 players chowing me down like a group of killer sharks.

B) My team consists of 1-2 snipers or flankers and 1-2 standing with me on the objective. In these event the game is either a easy win or an epic tug of war. If its an easy win, great awesome but if its a tug of war then it turns into some of the best thing this game can offer. Times ticking down and its a neck and neck battle and holy sh*t it's a rush I tell ya.

I mainly play support (I like to heal) so being on the objective to get a FREE HEALS would be a no brainer but no, they would rather stand away from my healing range and just be a pro elite sniper and would rather die then stand with me on the damn point.

This game has other connectivity issues, weird UI freezing and randomly getting kick from either a waiting room or while in game. It's frustrating but it's the nature of the game that's in development which I fully accept.

BUT when your teammate is playing pro elite sniper and your the only idiot standing on the point and getting pounded by 2-3 enemies boy it should gets tiring after a couple of games.

In summary I'm not saying you should dumb down the game by painting a giant bullseye thats says "GO HERE" that blinks or do some fancy special effect but at least a more gentle and persuasive method to in encourage new players to the objetive would make this game ALMOST perfect.

Plenty of graphical settings and game works pretty good on my 4690K and GTX980 on 2560x1440. Turn down a couple of settings to get a 80+ FPS and it looks and runs very nicely.

The melee felt really solid but definitely not up to par with say Killing Floor 2 which I consider to have the best melee action in a FPS game. Gunplay is somewhat weak; the guns feel kinda wimpy but it works I guess.

Game is super cheesy and futuristic but you know, in a silly sorta way which is kinda nice compare to all the serious military shooty game thats like all serious business but somehow still has health regen which somehow this game which is not so serious, does not.

The price is very good for a game that looks and runs this good so props to the dev for pricing this game approriately. If your looking for a budget Doom then definitely get this game and when Doom finally gets a good discount get that too.
