Hi [STEAM_NAME], you have to check out this game! It's the most innovative shooter I've played in years.

"Short and sweet" is probably the best description for this game. Art and music are both great, gameplay is satisfying and not overall challenging.

I don't really have anything to complain about except that I still wanted more after finishing. I will be watching the dev in hopes of another title in the near future.

The game itself? It's great.

Sony's predatory practices? Not that great. It's ironic to see a game that makes fun of corporate greed fall for it irl. I hope the devs work it out.

EDIT: Helldivers won again. Carry on, divers.

That was a satisfying little game. Who would have thought mazes can be so creative. Waiting for more, good job!

My favorite moment was when Gnorp said "It's Gnorping time" and Gnorped all over the place.

Early Access Review
As much as I wanted to love this game, I have few problems with it.

Bugs: It's an early access, so bugs are to be expected. Most of them are just a minor inconvience, like logs getting placed in weird way, cases flipping over so you can't access items, getting stuck in the textures, nothing big. But some are real annoying - sometimes, equipment can bug out and you won't be able to do anything until you die. But the most annoying bug up to date was losing vision at the very end of the game. At some point, the screen goes dark, like you are under water, you barely see anything and you have to navigate through lava filled cave Not that fun.

Difficulty: It could work well as a solo experience. For co-op although, it's insultingly easy. On all the highest difficulty, with just two friends, we never were hungry, died like once or twice throughout the whole game and the enemies barely pose any challenge. Quite disappointing.

Story: It's messy. The game hardly tells you anything. There are NPCs appearing, but you don't know who they are, or what part they actually play in the game. There are some random notes you can find that make things a bit clearer, but even the game's wiki has hard time telling who is who or what is happening. As it's still in Early Access, I honestly hope it will be fixed in later updates.

Price: I would say the game is not worth the full price yet. There is still a lot of work the game needs to become great, but I believe the devs will be able to make it.

Game time: Just going point A to B, without much hurry, we were able to finish the game within single play session of 6 hours. Having all the locations just showed on the map makes the exploration kinda pointless, cause all the points of the interest are on your map anyway. Go to point A, beat the cave, go to point B, dig something, and so on, so on. If you were to focus on building and collecting stuff, it would certainly take much longer. But the main story can be finished way too quickly.

The world: For this one, I really hope it's just an early access problem, but the world... it's pretty empty. Except for the things pointed out on the map, there are some cannibal camps you can find, but that's pretty much it.

Ending: Just... disappointing and confusing. In the first game, you had something really unique, a huge complex to explore, many monsters and a boss... and here you just get something that is not that different from any other caves explored before nor any final boss. Just... meh.

The good stuff:

Building: It's fun. It gives players quite a bit of creative freedom. No complains there.

Companions: Kelvin can be a really great help, making the menial tasks like collecting wood or sticks less annoying. As for the other companion, it's okay. Certainly an interesting AI in use.

Overall, I would say there are currently better games out there, that can give you similar, but better experience for cheaper. I know game dev is not an easy thing and I am impressed by many things in this game, but it's just not enough. Devs, I will be able to come back to the full game and change the review to a positive one. You have a good base, now just have to work on it. Good luck!

How to get depression 101
1. Play this game
2. Finish this game
3. Congratz! You have depression now!

In all seriousness though, Omori is an excellent experience, even if depressing. Play it.

So first of all, I'm quite a scaredy cat. I just can't play horror games. Unless when I'm playing with someone, then it's usually okay.

Not this one. Shaking man got me and my friend good. Lack of music whatsoever and sudden loud noise together scared us both as hell. Also, overall atmosphere is really making you uncomfortable.
