The first time I played this game, I didn't really understand how I was supposed to play and hated it. But then after watching a friend play it, I picked it back up and tried again and got absolutely blown away at how good the game really is. It does not hold your hand at all, and you have to earn your way in the game to advance. It is quite literally a very fun challenge. There is so much to do and figure out, and so much hidden stuff, it is mind boggling. The level design is also brilliant (essentially, just about everything you see in the game you end up going to at some point). It's so fun and challenging in fact, I have been addicted as of late, affecting other parts of my life x.x

And even years later, it still has some of the best replay value of any game I know. It's always fun to go back and do a rerun.

This game may be old and feel outdated in both graphics and AI, but I still consider it to be one of the best games ever made. Definitely my favorite [R]FPS. I still find it enjoyable to play through it even though I'm sure I already have at least 10 times over the years. The story is spectacular. The gameplay is fun and in depth. The levels are brilliant. The characters all really meant something to me, even with the minimum dialog.

One of the few games I could think of where you REALLY DO get to actively choose your play style. Not some kind of duality or choice system. True choice. If they remade this game with updated graphics and FPS gameplay, and on the rift, I would spend $90 on it in a heartbeat.
