Fun gameplay, may be difficult if it's your first experience in fast-paced shooters that throw a phletora of enemies all at once against you, but still worth every cent. Didn't have many hopes for it considering how the former terciarized title went...but this totally makes up for it.

Needless to say I'm expecting more content, idc if I gotta pay for it, and also trading cards.

It was made by Uwu Boll (no mispronounciations here), it's gonna suck. I'm still wondering how they managed to get Verne Troyer and J.K Simmons into this thing. I watched it a few times during my high-school math classes, way too poor to actually buy it I pathetically downloaded it from dubious websites. Now it's my time for redemption.

The badge crafting for this is painfully hard and expensive. If I ever make the whole badge, foil included, please remind the undertaker to feature it on the tombstone.

Exactly how a remake should be. You and I will probably agree on why this game didn't boom on sales like its over-the-top satirical sandbox little brother did, but it's still a nice trip if you don't mind the overall disturbing aspect of the game. Changed a few things from the 1997 release but most of them were for the better IMO. It has Co-op in the case your only friend aside from social anxiety is a fellow sociopath. It also features a Rampage mode if you really wanted that Hotline Miami experience without the overrated aesthetics of the 80s and instead you wanted the overrated aesthetics of a 90s asylum patient's dreamworld. MK: Armageddon reference included.

There's companies that drop expansions and downloadable content week one, before even fixing the constant crashes and overall jankiness of their products. And then there's Running With Scissors, dropping a very well made expansion for their almost 15 year-old game before even fixing the constant crashes and overall jankiness of their game.

Adds a bunch of new weapons, power-ups, a campaign longer than the original from 2003 (I mean who cares? most of the playerbase never got after Monday anyways) and plenty of references to the sequel buried so deep down, you wouldn't even know what the references are for... Corey is cool tho

For what is worth, I almost feel miserable for not getting it full-priced, but then again I'm a borderline hobo so that's okay.

It's edgy, it's gruesome, and disturbing as well. But it runs seamlessly for a game that was not designed for W10. Of course I don't get to play the full experience since I reckon back in the day they didn't have actual mouselook, which they added much much later (with the Steam release if I'm not mistaken). If you come from P2 and expect the same thing but on an isometric perspective by now you probably know that's not gonna be the case. And you'd probably be much better playing Redux which adds co-op for all your mass-murdering peer activities needs and is overall more polished. But if you're really persistent on that late 90s edgy Quasi-Nostradamus school shooting ending instead of that church burial premonition, and you're poor like yours truly, get P1 too, it's free, it's open-source and it's a bit more disturbing on the sound department.

The G29 works like ♥♥♥♥. Got it working better with the G27 spec, not that it helped much. This piece of ♥♥♥♥ won't even let me shift gears.

I remember buying it on PS2 back in 2006...Great times...I basically liked everything from this game...It's accurate soundtracks...The Story...Characters...Fun and irony...Combat system(like no other game I played)...And much more...
Now I play here, having as much fun as the first day...I have passed this game over 20 times(counting Canis Canem and SE) and I'm still having so much fun.
It's a shame Rockstar didn't pay so much attention here...This game has an enormous pottential and I consider it myself, the Rockstar game I like most (even above GTA saga)...
In summary:
If you want to kill time, this game's for you...
If you want to see a great Story with interesting characters, this game's for you...
If you want to become an OverPowered Student on a New England Reformatory School...You don't hesitate...You have to get this game!

Alright, little update after that review I made a long time ago. Lots of things I didn't notice back then, less hyped than what I used to be, angrier at Rockstar after realizing they did this port dirty. Yes, I still love the game, fun gameplay that has (mostly) passed the test of time, cheesy storyline (I swear I could never tell Gary was gonna betray me the first time I played the game back in 2006, now it's so painfully dull ), a really well put soundtrack (with enough borrowed samples to give Lee Jackson a run for his money), but that's been already talked about, so I'd like to focus on the technical aspect of this game now:

Now, like I said, this port is..rough to say the least. While I haven't played Canis Canem Edit on a VEEERY long time (last time being around 2017 or so), I can tell many things that weren't messed up in the original version are now in this "remaster" that came less than two years after.

Sure, they added classes, two of them I find truly entertaining (though simple), another is really useful (if looking for collectibles isn't your thing) and another class that's boring filler but hey, content! They added missions, but most of them feel either unnecessary or badly implemented, it's like they had full missions done for the PS2 version, decided to scrap them (probs because they add nothing to the story and/or are just not fun enough), and then thought it'd be a great idea to release them for the PC/X360/Wii port because for some people quantity means quality. But frankly, they didn't take that much time from the actual game, weren't all too difficult, so it's a "whatever". They make the chapters they appear in feel longer, but not better IMO. There's some additional stuff here and there (clothing for the most part), but it's mostly irrelevant. Back in the day I was devoted to build a PC just because of the gimmicks mentioned on this paragraph, but nowadays I realize they were just that: gimmicks.

Then there's the jank from the original game that (at least on the 99%) Rockstar New England didn't even bother on fixing for this particular version of the game (heard the devs at R* Toronto did a fairly decent job at porting it to the Wii, making it probably the most stable, less janky, and most reminiscent to CCE rendition of SE, couldn't tell for sure).
With this I mean there's some serious lighting issues that are notable enough (a clear example would be the runway exiting the school's parking lot), places that aren't fully rendered, and some texture errors here and there that may or may have not been well executed in CCE. Also some modelling errors on the characters: namely Petey, who got one of his kidneys removed and got left with a giant mesh hole in the back (the winter models works fine tho, so congrats R* NE for not screwing up the alt model at least).

The audio quality is disgusting. Carnival Date must be the main cause of deafening for headset players. Yeah, this was also screwed up in PS2, which is why one would think that's the reason they made this so called remaster, right? to fix the errors from the original release and give a polished version? Guess not, because it manages to sound WORSE, aside from audio sometimes lowering itself for whatever reason.

Now all of the mentioned above could be argued that the game was clearly not meant to be played on modern hardware (playing on win10), but the truth is all of the mentioned above works like this since the first time I booted up Scholarship Edition in WinXP back in the early 2010s. It's not due to either Win7/8/10 needing update patches that could've somehow messed the game up (in which case would also speak poorly of Rockstar). And since I brought that up; yeah, I couldn't even be making this review right now if it weren't for the modding community that managed to fix most of the game-breaking bugs and making it possible for the game to be played on widescreen monitors. But this review shouldn't count the modders' work since they didn't get a cent out of this.

Why am I keeping the positive review? Because I'm too lazy to click the negative button I still appreciate the fact I'm able to play Bully in 2022 thanks for them making a PC port (and the fact it's still on Steam). Just wanted to point out things that may be nitpicks for anyone else, but dennote either the devs or the publishers missed out on a lot of things that shouldn't have if they have a slight notion of what a remaster is about. But if those 10 paragraphs didn't stop me from playing the game again (and managing my very first 100% run), why should it stop you? If it really bothers you but some friend insisted you should play Scholarship Edition, I'd suggest getting Dolphin Emulator for Wii, I'll leave the details for you to figure out. Either that or just go play on the PS2 if you don't care about the extra content (trust me, you're not missing that much, not even for 100% completion since none of the content is a real challenge anyways, and there's bazillions of guides out there to help you out with the collectibles, just remember to cross down the ones that you've collected, you lazy bum). But if you're really insistent on playing this version because you either prefer keyboard controls (I like KB and Gamepad equally, but looking back in the keyboard is messed up, and aiming on gamepad has the sensitivity of a WWII tank cannon), I'd strongly recommend you checking out the SilentPatch and Widescreen fixes (unless you play on a CRT monitor, hipster), and even unlock it for the game to play at 60FPS (I personally suggest against since if screws up sooome stuff I can't quite remember right now, it wasn't that much of a deal to be honest).

That's all, now go wreak havoc in the name of some 15 year old manlet that thought shaving his head was a smart idea when attending a school that's filled with people eagering to make fun of your style choices.
