EDIT: I gave up on this game. Turtle Rock sold out immediately and couldn't care less about their player base. Stop comparing it to Left 4 Dead, the only thing they have in common is the title at this point. Game is vastly unfinished, has no unique character or soul that attracts players, and is seemingly broken for the rest of its existence. I am so disappointed in this game, and I believe that I will not be playing it ever again, which honestly makes me really sad considering I was so excited for its release. Their fate was sealed the second they graciously dropped ONE meager hotfix after months of players begging for major bug fixes.
Congrats though, they still got my money.

Game is extremely fun. Great new mechanics and I love that it's completely strategy and teamwork based.

Let's talk Veteran and Nightmare mode.

My god are they unbalanced. It seems as if we are missing an intermediate between Recruit and Veteran mode. It's challenging, yes, it's definitely for people who all collaborate on building their decks, yes..

..but what genius decided that more zombies/specials = harder? It's insanely tedious. You can't go two feet without a Reeker or a Tallboy taking out half your health. And it's non. stop.
The unbalance is frustrating. There are absolutely no breaks in between hordes, you have no chance to catch your breath. Bots? Don't even get me started on how useless the AI is. We've been trying to run duos on Veteran, and the bots consistently ignore the zombies, don't revive you, don't smack you if you're pinned, whatever.

What is the Mutation spawn rate? +100%? I literally blink and suddenly there's at least 3 mutations on me. Again. Adding nonstop zombies does not make it harder. It makes it impossible to strategize and work together. It makes it take 40 minutes instead of 20 just to advance one chapter. Even with excellent card decks that collaborate with a consistent team of friends. You have to treat every chapter as a speedrun.

Good luck trying to successfully complete a finale in one try. There are no windows to heal, secure required items, can't even open a door without getting overwhelmed. What is the purpose of "unique" boss finales if you still get overran by everything else on top of it?

Please, please balance these game modes better. It is so frustrating being dragged down by a horde every 2 feet. I miss having fun and being able to appreciate its individuality. You can make it challenging, but it needs to make sense. There needs to be some sort of scheme behind the challenge.

It's just as I remembered it from my childhood. Definitely a throwback, and chock-full of nostalgia!
