Freelancer embiggened

Hundreds of hours in memory of sometimes buggy but mostly fun gameplay. Fast forward a few years and a quick reboot and omg, this game is trash, runs like trash, key bindings will make you homicidal, building makes you want to fling your PC out a window. Play something else that's actually fun.

60 hours in two weeks. It's like picking up EVE, Freelancer, Factorio, or Minecraft again for the first time. But really it's a love child of all of them.

11/10 would spend lockdown in space again

Digs the hole,
Shoots the glyphids,
Mines the morkite,
Fills the mule,
Gets to the droppod,
Drinks the skull crusher,
Kicks the barrels,
Repeats

10/10 would die in a horrible monster ridden hole for Karl again

Been playing Factorio for years, a couple of 100 hr+ saves later and I still keep coming back. It's got the right mix of OpenTTD, Anno and Starship Troopers. The MP has been great to play with younger siblings and the mod scene is pretty hectic too! The 0.13.x release is going to be ace but even the launch 0.12.24 is awesome.

So first impressions:

My battlecruisers have never looked so ♥♥♥♥ hot before! Homeworld is a whole new lot of sexy with the core game kept totally intact (how do I resource again?!).
