Ultima Online married FPS and they had a son named Mortal Online.
If you, like me, had a blast with UO and would love to have something like that but newer, then this game is most likely for you!
This game goes a bit further by being FPS and having no minimap, so you got to learn locations and to have a good sense of direction (which is being a great mental exercise for me, as I am terrible at this).
It is still kinda buggy and unstable but the devs are quite active, so I do recommend getting into this ship.

I learned the hard way that falling is deadly, and sometimes there is no way to get the loot back.
10/10 would fall again

As a long time Mortal Kombat fan, I must say those last 3 games (9, X, and 11) where the best in terms of history and gameplay. I wish we had such great roster like UMK3 but I know that is no way to happen.
Altho I really enjoyed playing with the cyborgs back then (and I confess I got really sad they are not included as playable characters) I must say MK11 got the best roster so far. The hability to change some chars skins to their classics will make any old school player's day!
The game is fluid and well made. Fatalities are not as fun as the older days.
Learning the game is not hard, tutorials are great and well explained, mastering it is what takes time, it takes some practice with a single character for u to be good enough to face brutal difficulty.
The good thing is that this game is good for both casual and hardcore gamers, just know where to step depending on what you are looking for.

I really like how they made this game simple enough for any casual gamer to have a blast and yet with it's own bits of complexity to make it competitive among more hard core gamers.
If you like to gather a pack of friends and have a game where everyone can play and have a lot of fun, I highly recommend getting this game, it has a combo assistence mode where making combos and neat stuff is quite easy (that makes the game both easier, for you can make combos without much timing skills, and harder, cause so can your opponent).

Anyway, hearing c-c-c-c-combo breaker again and finishing with ultras and ultimates feels so damn good.
I really like the lobby system for multiplayer, for it makes it easier to organize a play with friends from different locations at any time.
Needless to say you should have a controller to take the most out of this game.

History mode is cool, nothing way thrilling or too exciting but well worth it, but, imho, the gem lies on shadow lords, I find it to be way too fun and all the guardians and itens give the game a whole new world of possibilities both in single player and multiplayer alike. Plus the quests in shadow lords are actually good!

I have seen some people talking about the impossible AI on some fights and yeah, it can indeed get quite tough at times, so it is needed to get good at combo breakers, counters, using your instinct, every thing with good timing, which brings it to a whole new level.

To sum up, if you are an old KI player, I am pretty sure you will find an awesome time playing this game, so don't waste any time (unless you are waiting for sales haha) on owning this title.
If you like fighting games, but are not quite sure if this is for you, well, you can get a demo version (very limited tho) on microsoft to test this out before buying.

This is my 2cents anyway.
