The sequel we all waited a decade for. Cuhrazy is back, and while some of the higher skill ceiling stuff has been removed, the game is as stylish as ever. Nero's new devil breakers give him a bit more depth than he had in 4, especially when you *finally* pull that Devil Trigger and access more abilities. V is a neat addition to the franchise, if gimmicky. Dante plays about as well as he ever has, and a certain devil sword streamlines the old rebellion combos without having to go into swordmaster style for propshredder or aerial rave. It's a small change, but it makes things so much easier.

The game's PC port runs fairly smoothly, as the RE engine holds up well on budget rigs and looks gorgeous in motion on high settings. if you're the type of person who only likes to play through the game once, you'll get around ~8 hours for a single playthrough, but the replay value in any DMC game is the real draw. Multiple difficulties, new abilities to unlock and bloody palace all pad out the game to being a nice amount of content for your buck.

Overall, 5 is a great first entry for new players (even if some of the fanservice will fall flat), as well as a solid sequel. There are some small issues with the camera and gameplay, but Itsuno's passion project marks a welcome return to form from Capcom and I can't recommend it enough.
