I know of no other games where you can freely form a horde of cannibals simply by forcing people to chose between consuming human flesh or getting eaten. The game is very good and the updates frequently improve the state of the game; I just wish modded wasn't filled with so many sweaty basement dwelling gamer goblins.

After nearly a thousand hours of game-play, I'm still not sure what I enjoy most about this game. Rust offers an experience unlike many other pvp sandbox titles available right now. There are frequent updates, the progression is decently entertaining, and the raid and pvp combat is very similar to a lot of fps deathmatch esque games. That being said, it's an arduous grind, extremely unforgiving for people with low spec hardware, and the players are often toxic as hell. However, if you have friends, reasonable skill, or a good personality, you will find a game where you are able to interact with others and create a team in a way that only rust can provide. You can also play solo, although I wouldn't recommend it.
If you're looking for a open-world sandbox fps that encourages large scale team interaction and cooperation to succeed, this is the game for you.
