very relaxing and enjoyable game

I personally see myself as one of the top percentiles of Saints Row fans. I loved SR3, I loved Gat out of Hell and SR4 is one of my favourite games ever, I've recommended it to basically everyone I know with a working pulse.

When I heard that Saints Row would get a new title after all these years, I was incredibly excited. But after hearing people talk about this game when it came out, I couldn't believe them. Everyone is saying it sucks? It's not fun? People said that about SR3/4 as well, it must be the same thing!

*sigh*

The Saints Row series always had exceptional characters, a well designed city and a great storyline. In this "Reboot", they threw away all the characters everyone loved about the games, reduced the density of the map immensely and from the few hours of storyline I've played and watched, the story is just not that good.

I think this game is actually okay and with some changes to the characters and a major overhaul of the map, this could have been a well received title, but labelling it "Saints Row" put an expectation on this game that they simply couldn't reach without leveraging their established characters and story.

When I think of Saints Row, I think of characters like Johnny Gat or Kenzie Kensington, I think of the city of Steelport and I think of the crazy and creative story missions everywhere, all of which, this "Saints Row" simply does not have. I can't recommend buying this game above 5€, it simply is not worth much in the state that Volition gave it to us before its imminent death.

I love Saints Row 3. I love Saints Row Gat out of Hell. I personally think that Saints Row 4 is one of my favourite games ever. Let's not talk about Saints Row "Reboot".

But to this day, Saints Row 2 has not worked on my machine properly. I spent hours researching and trying out things to get past the startup logos, and when I finally got it somehow, it crashed after I walked a little in the first part of the game and I simply gave up. This game isn't worth the effort it needs to run normally. If your device is decent enough, just emulate the console version of its time and actually get to play a functional game.

If you haven't yet, try out Saints Row 3/4 or Gat out of Hell instead, these work properly and are truly worth it, especially on sale.

I'm just here to increase the amount of positive review to increase the contrast to the current triple L trend of making bad games and selling a random development build as if it was a full game. I can only encourage you to do so as well.

As for my experience with this game: it's great.

according to data miners and cia hackers, half of the storage space this game consumes is for all the different ways the developer and publisher names are said when starting up the game

It's an early access game, so of course, bugs and glitches are included with the price. In my opinion, the art style and world design is great, though that can also tank performance a little bit. The combat system in general is good, though a little bit hard because you can't really lock on with your weapon, just your camera (might be me not finding buttons) so it feels like swinging your sword at nothing and trying to get an enemy in your path. In conclusion, a great wishlist product that should be kept an eye on for future updates, which seem to be coming very regularly.

great wallpapers, works well with mobile, wish it had linux though :/

i only play TTT on this and i can say it is 100% worth it just for that
