On his way home, a 60 y/o lumpiang shanghai stumbled upon a UFC sweet and sour sauce causing him to fall on his back and get dipped in the sauce. The lumpia tried to immediately stand up but he couldnt move his legs. The lumpia was in shock and shouted "What is this! I couldn't feel my legs!!." This is due to the fact he knew that no one would feed his two little boys waiting at home namely; lumpiang ubod and lumpiang togue. He was the only breadwinner in the family. Thinking about this he gathered all his strength but to no avail, he was unable to do so.
Lumpiang shanghai was sent to the hospital where he underwent MRI and showed that he suffered from a complete acute spinal cord injury (SCI) due to a trauma that he received after falling on his back. The SCI injury of lumpia is bilateral and resulted to paraplegia which involves the complete loss of movement and sensation in his lower half of the body particularly the right and the left legs. Lumpia was in tears when he knew that he couldnt walk again and had to be seated in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He felt useless but suddenly, an idea flashed in his mind. In order to seek his revenge for what UFC did to him, he waited outside of the sauce's home and in full speed crashed his wheelchair to the unsuspecting sauce and dismembering both of the UFC's legs in the process. The lumpia suddenly came to his senses and felt miserable for what he did. The lumpia apologized which was accepted by UFC sweet and sour sauce. The two became close with one another until they became so close that they shared a single wheelchair. This is the reason they came up with the name of LUMPONG SHANGHAI.
