Best experience of NFS since the the golden age of NFS in my opinion(underground, hot pursuit,..). It's kinda based on Heat, but removed a lot of annoying campaign thing. I hated the model of 3 character in Heat making you have to do race, drift AND offroad(so I didn't play it much). In here everything is optional.

Cops feel very good in here. You CAN escape a five star chase, but if you aren't careful, 5 star unit can definitely go "f*ck around and find out". It's an SUV unit with the speed of a Lambo. Also a major change from the golden age of NFS is that barricade actually matter now. Hit it and you will be totaled out. However, resetting in here is too OP atm I think, even if you crash, the police can't take advantage of it because the bursting bar increases way too slow. Also the gas station has a cooldown instead of a limit like Heat.

About racing, cars stats matter, not just the "power level"(that kind of RPG power). You can have a better "power level" but if your cars suck, you will have a hard time winning. Also they have a lot of old modes remade into really good ones. The good old Drafting(where you have to gear up yourself) is now Speed Race(you can choose to gear up yourself or not in the options tho) where the race is somewhat straight. Circuit changes into Corner King and Street Race. Sprint turns into Endurance, where the race is really long, one mistake is gonna cost you. One weird thing I found here is that grip cars(opposite to drift) drift cinematically better, less point in drift races tho.

So in the end, I think if you liked the good old experience of NFS, where it is a little more arcady, less realistic but you just wanna tune out and have a good time, this is definitely worth a pick up.

Port performance: 10/10
Gameplay: Roll and break futuristic mechanical dinos parts with bows and arrows while also riding a mechanical bull, may need some unique abilities cause what's is available now is very generic/10
Story: Quite mysterious, like I finished 30% of the game now and still dunno what happened in the past/10
Graphics: It's a piece of art/10

Generally it's like Far Cry Primal having a high paced, high performance child with Monster Hunter World (since you can break dinos parts)

8.5/10, I really think it needs some unique abilities.

TLDR: The game feels unfinished or unpolished. I'd rather pay more for a better one. I will change my review if the dev update the game.

Gameplay
First thing is there is no real tutorial in this game, you got tossed in a fight instantly, with one tips that tell you that you can roll for gem with one button and combine them. That's it. They won't tell you that electric gems do chain lightning or whatever.
This game is a form of tower defense with a heavy side of RNG. If you look at the screenshots that the dev provided, basically, you roll for an "element gem" (idk what's called, there is NO tutorial in this game) and when the slider come across it, you shoot out that element at the enemies. When you combine the gems of the same level you get a better one. So you would think that, hey that's kinda innovative, but for some reason, the dev thinks that it's good to make the result of the combination goes random, like 2 fire gems will create a ice gem.
But once you got the hang of it, the fighting part is kinda easy. Btw, sometimes you will encounter a bug that grant you no diamonds for upgrade after you win a fight but that's probably gonna be fixed easily.

The Plot
Basically an isekai story, with bad story telling like all these games on steam. One major bad thing is: there is literally no sound effect, no music, nobody talking for the entire story part of the game.

The "Plot"
There are interactable 5 girls in this, with with ONE voice actress for all of them and she speaks IN EROTIC SCENE ONLY. Each has 2 scenes.

This is a review from someone who didn't play the original SoD:
So this is SO FAR a pure zombie apocalypse survival game, which is what I really like. It has no flashy superhuman abilities like Dying Lights, or maybe I'm not there yet. You have to build bases and outposts with 5 types of resources while leveling up different character that you have to switches among as they can suffer fatigue and stuff.
Nowhere is safe. I had my main base, which is usually invulnerable in other zombie games, attacked by a horde 3 hours in. And by attacked I mean they got inside the base and caused a lot of chaos, which is really realistic and fun.
Also, the map seems to be freaking huge. HUGE. I have already said goodbye to another 1000 hours of my life.
The game seems pretty well optimized for me. I have a gtx 1650 and I'm able to run the game at 1080p borderless on High graphics options with no spikes or stuttering.

BUGS
I dunno what bugs are people talking about, through out my 6 hours playing so far, I encounter 1 crash and it was because I opened Chrome and the game with my lousy 8gb ram.

The core mechanics of the game is very fun, basically a turn-based dungeon exploring game, where you hire random characters with random abilities to explore even deeper, longer, harder dungeon. But to me, as a player that usually play other kind of game, like hack-and-slash action, strategy, MOBAs,... this game get repetitive after a while. However, I would stsill recommend this simply because of the details in the randomness of perks and events you get in the Dungeons.

This is a survival-building game in a disaster and smaller scale scenario, if you like bigger scale like Anno, it might not be for you.
Basically you keep the city alive by managing resources like coal(for heating), wood & steel(for buildings), and food. Also, you gotta pay attention to the public, provide them healthcare and stuff, introduce new laws, even create new religions...
Despite being a building game, in harder difficulties, the game makes you keep an eye on managing the coal usage EVERYDAY. Workshift mechanic is a cool idea.
There are temperature fluctuations, colder means you gotta use more coal. Also there are storm storms, basically no food and super cold and your scout dies and your outpost dies and everyone dies, so yeah chop-chop.
Lastly, there are automatons and you can even be a god (well if your people let you of course)
I(ce) rate 10/10
