This game is absolutely amazing. It's everything I was hoping for. I was a little concerned at first about the reduced number of abilities you can assign but turning some of the abilities into combos takes away from the feeling of not having as many options to choose from.

The world is gorgeous and I truly feel like I'm on an adventure, walking around with my party and having strangers walk up and prompt a quest in a way that feels genuine and not forced. Going out on adventures and returning with a decent chunk of gold to go spend almost all of it buying better gear and upgrading it, only to set out again later for more is such a satisfying sense of progression. All the gear looks amazing, the abilities are impressive and feel like they pack a punch.

I love the pawn system, and I like to rotate in some of the same pawns if they've leveled up more to match my party. It's nice to see them again and see they've also gained 10 levels, and I like to think of the adventures they had while they were off with their Arisen or assisting with others since the last time we grouped up.

It's sad to see people trashing the game for no good reason. The books to change appearance are 500 Rift Crystals in the game, which might not be quick early on but are for sure going to be easy later in the game like in the first one. The fact they give people another option to get them with $2 is perfectly fine. If you don't like it, then get them genuinely in the game. It's a singleplayer game, just play it and have fun and don't worry about how other people play it.
