I hear so much hate for Interceptor, but it really is unique. I've never encountered an X-Wing style game where you also control the strategic side. After all those times you were hideously outgunned, or had completely the wrong warheads etc on X-Wing, TIE Fighter etc, it's nice to be able to do something about that. Now it's YOUR job to make sure your craft are up to spec. Also ties UFO, TFTD and Apoc together nicely, and hey its a great game in it's own right. Yes, it isn't the game everyone expected when a new X-Com game was announced back in 1997, but it's a worthy addition to the series.

Whilst basically a mod for the original UFo Enemy Unknown, TFTD ramps up the difficulty to 11, and adds shedloads of atmosphere. The Lovecraft inspired aquatic aliens are a great change of style from the original too.

Some fans hate Apoc, myself, it's just a different sort of game. The music is SUPERB though. One of my top 5 in "setting the scene". Without the music, not so creepy. With the music. *shudder*. ALWAYS play in Real Time too. Turn Based was never really finished and a lot of the tactics you can use only work in Real Time (holding two pistols for example)

You're better burning your money than buying this. Better still, get Simcity 4

Tries to be the new Populus. It isn't. It's more Black & White meets Spore.

Hugely fun, and this is from someone who plays historical strategy games. Easy to learn, difficult to master, and a great storyline

Very interesting game, haven't really got down to grips with it yet, but sort of a mix of Master of Orion, Civilisation and Hearts of Iron. Love it's quirkly "doesn't take itself too seriously" sense of humour too

Once you have all the addons and patches and such, a superb game. Don't skimp and get the "vanilla" base game; its virtually unplayable. Mods are optional, it's great either way, but Semper Fi, For the Motherland etc are essential if you want to have an enjoyable experience.

The best of the Lego series so far I think. The original Indy comes close though.
