I give it a 9/10. It went in a completely different direction than I expected; and at first I wasn't really feeling it at all. But after some time getting past some new *airquote* Features *airquote*; I found the Fallout I loved hiding in plain sight.

My first impression after 30 minutes of playing the game was:

"I'd rather be shot repeatedly with a 12 gauge than have to play this any longer."

My impression after 1 hour of playing the game was:

"Time to go shoot some more aliens in the face with a 12 gauge! Boom!"

Learning curve is actually a straight vertical line. I'll let you know once I've mastered it. Perhaps 30-50 years.

Undoubtedly a decent addition to the Red Faction series. The basic gameplay revolves around a sort of Dead Space/Mass Effect/Resident Evil kind of thing. Essentially, another one of the Mason line screws everything to FUBAR, and then saves it. Features the destruction engine similar to Guerrila (Which in my opinion, was better due to free-roaming). Multiplayer is slow, I spent 4 hours online in multiplayer matchmaking and only met 3 players. (Total). It does get a little boring without versus as well. Overall, I'd say [RENT].

Well, it's not particulary as 'good' as it's cracked up to be. And the 'revolutionary' customization is essentially just a glorified 'Dress 'Um Up' kind of thing. The single player campaign is basically just like multiplayer, but with AI bots that are dumbasses. Quite frankly, the only attractive thing about it is the guns. So, if you like a halo-ish experience with petty customization but a little bit of shallow depth along the lines of gameplay; this is for you.
