I wanted to do a spoiler free review, and keep anything story related incredibly vague, so here we go:

I had a few graphical glitches, only to find out that downloading the new nvidia game ready drivers fixed every single one of them I had issues with. The textures are wonderful, the city is beautiful, and night city has a real feel of a living breathing city. They did a fantastic job with this and in just exploring the city you will randomly run into all kinds of wild and weird encounters that could turn out great, or go really south, really fast. The sound effects are well done, and so is the voice acting.

I even noticed on character interactions that the characters have had a very good job done on their eye tracking. While some games the NPC just tracks you with their head movement, there are subtle things in the game such as NPCs kind of looking off a little, changing their facial expression, or their own mind wandering as they are doing something. Example: During a mission, spoke to an NPC who kept looking around the room in a certain direction and I wasn't paying attention at first, but was like, "What are they looking at?" it was a stripper. So they were talking to me and would look me in the face sometimes, and then other times they'd look off and start changing their facial expression and their eyes would wander off to that.

The environmental sound is really well done as well. Go into a club, changing rooms, the bass changes, the distortion changes, everything changes, and even fades correctly. I'm using a blackshark v2 pro headset and I love the surround sound in this game.

The game runs very well and I'm not on a crazy PC by today's standards. Rocking an i7 7700k, 1060 6g, 32 gigs of ram, nothing bad but nothing crazy. On medium settings with some higher settings I can play very smoothly. I can't wait to see what this game looks like AFTER I upgrade my PC to new gen parts because I'll have to replay it all over again just to soak in the beauty. It's gorgeous even on my current setting.

The leveling system is very cool since your primary attributes affect your interaction with the environment while perk points affect other things such as your abilities (gun damage, hacking damage, hacking types, physical abilities to do things, carrying, etc). You will find very quickly that while it might seem "neat to be a jack of all trades" that you will find things such as locked doors, higher enemies, and situations where you can't do certain things without certain skills.

Sometimes this means it'll limit your outcomes on certain things, while your attributes and play style in your leveling may completely drastically open possibilities for other missions.

I won't list spoilers because I don't want to ruin stories, but I will mention that while some people seem to be under the impression that yellow dialogue options are "required" that sometimes, going into the blue dialogue options will expand conversations into things you didn't expect, leading to NEW dialogue options as well for the story and missions. So don't think that always picking blue is "just informative" or "just an extra talk" because sometimes it may affect characters in a way that they change their attitude towards you entirely.

The combat system is really pretty good. The cover system felt weird to me at first, till I got the hang of it and realized not only can I peek over things, but around them too. Not only can you shoot from cover, you can HACK from cover, and even peek around corners to hack as well. Gear most certainly plays an important role in combat, and will drastically change how much enemies can take, how much you can take, dish out, etc. So if you're playing on hard, you will need to be crafty and think well on your feet. The enemy AI will start exploring and looking for you if you've pissed them off, or put them on alert. They tend to be pretty good shots, and you don't have a lot of hitpoints to endure, so combat can go downhill very fast if you don't plan your approach.

I really quite like that about the game. It doesn't feel like a standard shooter where you can just go "guns'a'blazin!" without concern, and as long as you have a big gun it's fine. You're still fragile in many ways, and enemies will use cover, they will flank you, they will search you out, and it's not as simple as aggro and cheese. There's also considerations of "would I rather hack them? or combat them? would I rather stealth kill?" stealth is indeed an option as well.

So far the story felt a little slow to start, and things picked up really quick and got tense after the first big job. Again, won't post spoilers, but it went from "these jobs seem pretty okay and maybe we'll get somewhere" to, "OH NO. Anxiety is over 9000."

That's the other thing is that you get put into some missions and situations where there is a LOT of tension between factions, and you, or both, and your actions can entirely change whether you get out of situations nearly unscathed, or in a massive bloodbath gunfight, or just running for your life hoping not to get picked off. Everything you do and say has consequences.

Are there a few bugs? Yeah. Did a driver update fix them for me? Also yes. Do I care? Nah, because this game is absolutely fantastic and I'm so happy I waited.
