Truly the 40k FPS a lot of us fans have wanted for the longest time.

I believe that although unfinished at the moment, the game has the most promise of any other COOP horde shooter on the market and surely delivers the atmosphere and wonder of the 40k universe.

If you are unsure, wait for a sale. But as a 40k fan I can throw my total support behind these devs.

While this game had a shaky launch (tbf almost all Total War games are a bit miserable at launch), I can fully recommend it as of now.

I have a slight bias towards Warhammer, but the immortal empires campaign is sort of a dream come true for me. The amount of variety that is here is unlike any other Total War game, and the improvements to siege battles, addition of domination of multiplayer and settlement battles have added a lot of flavor to the series.

This game is very DLC heavy, but pick this up on sale and the DLCs will be extra optional spice to your gameplay that you can pick and choose.

I got this game for 3 of my friends and showed it to a couple others.....

Since then I think everyone I play games with has and loves this game.

It is totally chill while being tense and has an awesome community.

Totally would recommend it.

Needs work, wait for some updates to come along. But what is there and function is good.

Probably the most impressive game visually and the world they have created from what was a pen and paper game is amazing.

This game is an absolute gem.

Visuals: Game looks awesome and has tons of tiny little details to appreciate. The monsters look scary and grim, and the game has an over feel of dread dread while also being gorgeous at times.
Sound Design: Amazing, sound is a huge mechanic in this game.
Map Design: Awesome, tons of of varying areas to fight in.

Gameplay: This game is not overly simplistic and has a steep learning curve. There are many things to learn and pitfalls for new players to fall for. Fights can be over in seconds with well placed shots or last 30 minutes with mexican stand offs and flanking. Stealth is a HUGE part of this game and utilizing sound awareness and audio traps to your advantage is a must.

If you have friends who will jump into this game with you I absolutely recommend this game, it is a huge breath of fresh air in an environment overpopulated with stale, 'samey' shooters.

This game is amazing.

Multiplayer is good fun, but the singleplayer is where the meat is.
I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys 4X/RTS games or RPG style games. You start with nothing and slowly build a kingdom or powerful fiefdom. The battles are fun, while a bit clunky.

Sieges and the late game are in need of some work in the 1.21 early access version but the game has a ton of promise.
Good luck to TW in finishing this amazing and ambitious project.

Call me a shill, but this game and these devs are worth supporting IMO.

I finally get to see my high elf miniatures army in a video game. Obviously this recommendation is biased but honestly the consensus is that this game is awesome. Call it what you want the amount of content offered makes this easily worth the price of two expansion packs (IE the dawn of war series). The multiplayer is competitive and addictive and the campaign more interesting than any previous Total War campaigns; save Rome 1's awesome campaign. Runs better than Total Warhammer 1 and I cannot wait for the mortal empires free downloadable content which will combine both games into one.
