Early Access Review
I will first say that this simulator is an excellent game for early access. The developer seems to be actively expanding and patching the game as needed.

All that being said, I have a few praises and a few complaints.

Pros:
Addictive and playable
Very reasonably priced
Decent amount of content and customization for an early access

Cons:
I don't really consider these cons, but rather areas of the game that could (and likely will) improve upon.

Lacks realism in certain areas (for example six packs of milk cannot be placed in fridge, but rather must be kept on store shelf.) This is a big peeve of mine.

No refridgeration/freezer for storage room to keep perishables stocked up, this should be corrected.

Unloading stock from loading area is a major pain when you can only bring in one box at a time, no matter how small. A dolly or handtruck to bring in boxes would be more realistic.

Some decor (plants, sales fliers for wall, more category icons, floor mats)

Wider array of products. More fresh produce (with a new type of display for produce). Canned goods. Seems to be plenty of liquor and zero produce. Another big peeve of mine.

No sandbox mode. My hope is they add this in and perhaps even scenarios. But the sandbox is the more important of the two.

I'd imagine all the above (hopefully) will likely make it into the game before final release.

All in all, I definitely recommend the game - even as it is now.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE game! DO NOT BUY!!!!!

I'll admit, I had high hopes for this game but it has to be one of the most complicated, tedious and frustrating games I have ever played.

The game has promise and COULD be great, but the developers became greedy and abandoned improving this game in order to pocket profits with a sequel.

The gameplay, if you can call it that, is so confusing and frustrating that you have to play a relaxing game after playing this game just to alleviate the overwhelming temptation to throw your PC out the window.

I will NEVER support this developer again.

I bought this game when it was on sale for a very low price. Now I know why. Its a complete piece of crap waste of time. Which really sucks cause I was really getting into the storyline.

I wasn't even able to get through the tutorial due to the font/text being so incredibly small. I tried to see if there was a solution to the issue but it appears to be a common one.

I was really looking forward to trying out this game and it sucks that I can't play it for such a stupid reason.

I'm so glad I didn't pay for this game! I was going to buy the DLC thats on sale but decided to try the game first and I'm glad i did. I'm not a novice when it comes to RTS and TBS but I couldn't figure out this game for the life of me. There is no tutorial and no means of really learning anything about playing unless you want to sit back and spend hours reading "the tome". No thank you.

Even for free, its a crappy game. Not worth the space on my HD.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE game!

It's so dark you cannot see where you are going. No help guide on how to use controls and just all in all a real crappy game. Gave me a huge headache. Seeking refund.

A great successor to the first. This one is even better, IMO. While the first one is very challenging - it also doesn't give you much leeway in terms of that.

However, with this one, you can replay levels (you can in the first one too) but in this one you can still gain more skulls. There are also a LOT more upgrades to purchase as well as a bunch more 'game modes' from 'neverending' to 'classic'.

If you're a fan of the first, you'll LOVE this one for sure.

This is a great game and I am really enjoying playing it. It's basically a FPS & Tower Defense game. Your job is to prevent the orcs from reaching the rift. If too many do, you lose the level.

The orcs come at you in 'waves' and you have different ways of defending yourself. From traps to extra support (guardians). The key to success in the game is choosing the right traps in the level as well as placing them strategically.

This is a great game and I don't regret buying it. But after four hours of playing, I've discoverd about 80% of the map. I've played nearly 20hrs of ETS2 and still am under 50% of the map on that.

This game has a VERY limited set of cities and only two trucks. The police fines are ridiculous, Yes, I get that it's supposed to simulate real life, but in real life you don't get penalized $1,000 for a speeding ticket. So, that needs to be addressed. Given the amount of police on the highway, you quickly run out of money. For these reasons, I can't recommend it at this time.

Once they update it with bigger maps and more trucks and address the speeding ticket pricing issue, I'll likely do that. But unless they address those, I can't consider a recommendation.

*UPDATE: SCS has recently patched the game to address the speeding/fine difficulties that many gamers have been complaining about. As a result, I'm changing my review from 'not recommended' to recommended.

Given that we are due for a free update(s) that will include an additional truck as well as Arizona, I feel the 'recommendation' is warranted now.

The latest review synopsis rates this game as "overwhelmingly positive". I think that's a bit of an understatement. I am a HUGE city builder/simulator fan and not since SimCity 4 have I been so addicted to such a game. I, like many, was super excited when SimCity 5 came out only to have my hopes dashed in spades.

What truly makes this game stand out is the customizability of it and the vast array of modification. It truly is a 'gamers game' allowing the gamer to be an integral part of advancing gameplay.

One of the features I like best, other than the mods is the ability to create districts as well as the large map size. At least one gaming company actually listens to it's gamers.
