Updated edit: I still have a love/hate relationship with this game but a lot of the issues present at launch have improved a good bit. It has a lot of ugly spots but at this point I think that I can recommend it WITH the caveat that it will probably not be enjoyable if you're not already into Gundam or don't mind the idea of a slower mecha action game with weighty response times on movement & actions.

This is, at its core, an incredible game that captures the feel of piloting a 20-meter combat mecha better than almost anything else I've ever played, while also unfortunately making itself incredibly difficult to like. Aside from the rough launch and ongoing sporadic server issues, I am currently subject to a 30-hour matchmaking ban for having to alt-F4 the game 4 or so times over the course of about a week when it got indefinitely stuck on loading screens. If the server issues and archaic, draconian ban policy that punishes players for problems that Bandai is responsible for are fixed, I can fully recommend this game.
