Extremely poor performance, at least on a mid-range PC.

It was great at one point in time, but it's been consistently degraded with every patch, every pointless DLC, and every expansion of mechanics. It's gotten to the point it's cumbersome, and more a chore to play than a game to enjoy. Look elsewhere, buyer.

I really want to recommend this game, because I love the originals, but Aspyr has seriously dropped the ball. It's not just the networking issues people are complaining about (which are egregious), but also the visual glitches, input lag, and poor control schemes that really mar the experience of an otherwise great set of games. Not to mention, how in the world did they make this game take up 62GB? The only answer is, by using mediocre upscaling that provides little visual benefit at a massive cost in filesize, same as Aspyr has done in other retro games.

Aspyr does here what I would've have believed possible: cause me to dislike the original Battlefront games.

Recommending because I like the team, and I think the game has promise.

That said, this should have been an early access release, I feel. Mainly because it would have tempered expectations of the initial players, some of whom have left negative reviews which might not have been the case, had the release been something else.

I would not have believed a Total War game could be this bad, unless I'd played it myself. What a waste of time. Sieges, which are always the peak of the battles, are completely dull and uninteresting in this game. There's no siege equipment beyond rams and towers, and so on. The UI is cluttered, the battles feel wooden. Guess I'll go back to Rome.

Still holds up, gameplay-wise, even after so many years have passed. I was impressed.

I love Hearts of Iron IV, but this is another DLC + Update combo that makes the game worse. The air designer adds needless complexity, much like the tank designer and naval designer before. It's another time and tech sink that adds little-to-nothing to the game. I still like the game, but I don't like this DLC. Ethiopia is an interesting concept, Italy's tree is big, and Switzerland's tree is pointless. You'd have a better experience playing NSB though, in my opinion.

Awesome story, and very well-written. Worth every cent.

Tons of fun. Great for quick or extended play. I love the visuals, gameplay, and unlockables.

Solid teamwork is usually required for this game. Awesome graphics, fun gameplay. Absolutely worth the price, even in the current state.
