I've played hundreds of hours of this game on Android and it's a great roguelite autobattler. A lot of content to unlock and it's fun to do.

It's surprising how much fun this game was around launch. I found myself reconnecting with all kinds of old friends as we dropped together and were able to catch up as if the last ten years never happened.

But somehow the devs managed to chip away at that fun to the point that nearly nobody plays anymore. It stopped being fun and just started being a chore. Gone was the power fantasy and experimentation that I think we all enjoy, and all we were left with were ragdolls, bugs (code), and bullet sponge enemies.

Maybe wait a couple of years for things to get better. Otherwise, just avoid this game.

Early Access Review
Updated 2023-08-01:
The game is fairly fun. There are a lot of skills and the addition of character-specific passive trees is nice. The grind for new weapons is kind of awful. Many of them require loads of common resources that aren't as abundant as you'd like. Which means that it can take 5-10 runs on the same map just for a new weapon. Additionally, some of the characters have a custom ability that requires you to stand or move into specific areas. That would be great, but at higher curse levels, it's not viable. Gameplay is still built around high mobility, so anything that strips that from you turns into high risk, mediocre reward.

Don't get me wrong, the game is getting a lot better, but I'd give it a mixed review if possible. It's fun, but has some core issues.

Old:
The game is very... okay. There are a lot of skills and characters that give you options for builds, but so many builds aren't exactly viable, especially at higher curse levels. The game is clearly built around high mobility, which is fine, but the biggest problem is that as you increase your curse level, enemies have massive AoE attacks that feel borderline impossible to dodge. As someone who has nearly every achievement, I can tell you that it's not impossible to do, but it stops being fun when you almost feel punished for doing the objective (e.g. Killing towers that launch attacks requires you to stay in a small area that will be bombarded enough that it will kill you. Do you choose to take damage, or ignore the tower knowing that more towers are on their way?).

The game has a lot of potential, but there's something about it that just isn't as fun as other competitors on the market.
