Loved dying light 1, completed all of it + the DLC and couldn't wait to play DL2 but honestly i'm not enjoying it that much.

There are so many immersion breaking bugs such as AI falling or glitching around the map.
During a fight in the main mission story line i heard a character use the exact same voice line about 7 times in a row while fighting.
Basic story and game concepts such as a chase scene before you get to the central belt that involves following *spoiler* while being hunted by *spoiler* and the person your following is constantly CLOSING THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DOORS ON YOUR FACE, Like wtf? are we being chased or not? did the developers not play test this game? it's a part of the main story and you've got immersion breaks like this, its infuriating.

The graphics look stunning and the parkour feels as realistic as possible but i also sometimes found myself running past zombies and just getting grabbed while in a night chase, id like to be able to push them out of the way instead of bumping into them like a wall. (perhaps this is possible if i level up more but i'm not sure).

The combat is a better a system than DL1 but needs some reworking. I was getting hit by rocks that i could not dodge regardless of timing. i even made a point to stand directly behind the infected picking it up which makes no difference as he has done a 180 degree spin and launched it through his own glitching body in 0.1 seconds.

As a fan of DL1 i wish i had waited a few months for the game to be polished off as i feel that the experience has been ruined for me due to all the issues i am noticing while playing through at this current moment so i cannot recommend the game until that has been done.

Edit after completion:

The game continued to be full of bugs and immersion breaks, voice lines off timing and place while the story, my god what a terrible experience, it doesn't even make sense, not a single bit of emotion for any of the characters, i honestly couldn't have cared less about what happened to any one of them. There are points in the game that literally contradict the last thing said

Spoiler incoming:

Frank who is Lawan's father figure and who saved her from death, is shot and killed, where was lawan? no explanation as to where she is at this part of the story and not even a mention of whats happened to him besides "frank is dead", like yea i knew that about an hour ago and you sound like you telling me the bus is late, not that one of your loved ones has just been betrayed and killed.

The final cut scene see's spike, aiden's pilgram friend arrive at the fisheye with a package for frank, the bar tender then proceeds to tell him he's dead but can hand it over to lawan as shes the leader of the nightrunners now and then proceeds to cut to a scene of aiden leaving the town and lawan going with him. Techland has really dropped the ball on this game and i wish i had never bought it.

Graphics 8/10
Parkour 8/10
Everything else 1/10

If you want an open world to run around and parkour in while running from some zombies then go for it but if your expecting anything else then i would avoid this game like the plauge, such a dissapointment, cant believe i payed full price for this ♥♥♥♥.
