Bit janky with the networking, you end up popping around a lot even with low ping, but the game is super fun. Exploring, building your ship and leveling up. Each encounter is a adventure!

Good iteration on the original. I think the performance has increased a bit, the cpu takes it turns very fast. I haven't gotten super far in the campaign, and I'm still wrapping my head around the damage calculations in battle, but this is just as much fun as the original.

Builds on the original formula with more in all departments. Graphics that still stand up pretty well today, streamlined fighting and a variety of weapons. I also really like how expansive some of the levels are.

Gave it a go. Engaging, if a bit more simple than your average paradox game.
I played as a pirate faction at the bottom of the map. Got a lot of fun units.
Unfortunately, the AI then stopped working, allowing me to hit end-turn repeatedly to secure an easy victory.
So a bit unplayable. Ah well.

Imagine you have minecraft (and the comparison is inescapable) but with worse inventory management and no combat. You have to have certain people online at the same time as you since jobs lock specific activities you need to progress. You will spend hours searching for gold or copper. There's also an ecological simulation going on behind the scenes somewhere. It has no effect on gameplay. Solid 3/5, minecraft is still fun.

Faithful adaptation of a great board game. Can be hard to keep track of opponents played cards, but otherwise amazing.

More of a puzzle game than a strategy one, it was nonetheless fun. Well polished. Not a huge amount of content, would have liked maybe multiple scenarios.

This game is great. Each run is interesting and fun. New challenges keep things from going stale. Despite similar mechanics, the classes all play differently. 10/10

Very impressive visual style and aesthetic. Its graphics are a work of art. Gameplay is entertaining. Controls are a bit sluggish and game is a bit short. This is a great game which has an awesome retro feel.

Not really worth it. Very limited actual content and gameplay. There is no survival except against other players. If you want open world CS:GO with unbalanced teams I guess this is for you.
