The campaign missions are pretty good, but a lot of the issues that this game has are fixed in JC3, which is why I would recommend that game more. Probably a great game for its time, though.

If you're concerned about story continuity between JC2 and JC3, or story spoilers in JC3, there isn't much of it that I'm aware of.

Sometimes I don't feel like playing a fully balanced out multiplayer game, where I could easily lose if I don't have the skill to beat the opponent. Sometimes I don't feel like investing my time in a singleplayer game that punishes you hard for losing, has a story that can be hard to follow, or is just brain-strainingly difficult. Sometimes I just want do cool stuff with grapples and explosives and guns, with no worrying or being stressed about losing or not playing optimally. Sometimes I just wanna play Just Cause.
