Early Access Review
This is a "number go up" game. If you don't like a grind, I wouldn't recommend it. If you do, or you grew up on RuneScape, man this game has a lot of promise. It is definitely not "feature complete" yet, but I feel like there is enough here to keep yourself occupied. The main story is kind of neat, and after about 60 hours of being a F2P scrub, I finally decided to buy a month. Its about $7 a month for subscription, opening the other 2 "zones" that are available now.

About the zones, this game is trying something different. Certain skills are locked behind certain zones. This takes some getting used to. I have also heard the dev is going to be overhauling combat soon, so don't get too comfortable with it yet. They have been super quick on the updates! I can tell they care about this product, and they want to make Brighter Shores the best game it can be.

Give this game a shot, the F2P portion alone can keep you busy for a long while even if there's limited stuff to do at the moment. (about 6 quests 2 of which have pretty long grinds behind them)

This game is NOT going to be for everyone, you will figure out if this is for you in a few hours of playing. I picked it up for $12, and I love it. The story is insane, the characters are weird, the gameplay is mundane most of the time. Despite all of this, it is truly a one of a kind Kojima game. Don't expect Metal Gear going into this, it really is its own thing.

Like most "live service" games, Halo Infinite had some issues getting going when it first released. While this is true, at least we had a functional product and a Campaign to keep us busy for a while. (If you bought it) 343i has infamously always had issues keeping their games going with enough material to hold their player base. Now it is late 2023 and Halo Infinite will be 2 years old soon. How is it?

I think its good. There is a lot to enjoy here and I actually ended up buying another Battle pass to unlock some new cosmetics. HUGE props to them making it so premium passes NEVER expire and you can choose which one you want to work on. What does this mean? You can stop playing for a year, come back, look through the passes and choose what kind of cosmetics you like, and take all the time in the world to unlock them. It feels very pro-consumer unlock other timed Battle pass systems in the F2P game space.

Infinite has a ton of new (albeit user created) maps to play on now. There are a few developer made maps but I haven't seen them in rotation much. There are a ton of playlists to choose from now for matchmaking (Squad battle and Doubles are awesome) If matchmaking isn't for you, there is the custom games browser (Community tab > Custom Game) to hold you over for hours. I still feel like the game needs some kind of PvE or Firefight mode.

When it comes to free to play games, I think Halo Infinite is probably one of the best games out there right now. It costs nothing to actually play and you can lose hours at a time playing it. I hope 343i keeps adding new modes and maps to the game through their Community playlists, they've done a great job so far.

Ahh yes, 20XX the meme of retro gamers and Melee player everywhere. (Yes, the game references both of these) Of course, this isn't a bad thing because the developers know exactly who their target audience is. If you enjoy a nice challenging platformer that gets more and more challenging as you progress, perma-death mechanics that make you hurt inside with every death you receive, or just really like to jump and shoot stuff, I believe 20XX is right up your alley. The game boasts tons of replayablility and features 2 playable characters (Shooting/Melee attacks) as well as a co-op mode. There are modifiers for your runs that can amp up the challenge, 3 difficulties to choose from, and more! I particularly like the Daily/Weekly challenges as they remind me of Spelunky in a way. I absolutely love the way this game feels. Its super snappy and responsive, everything feels just right. I see myself playing this game for hours at a time in the future. As a Megaman X fan, I can't recommend this game enough. Even if you have never played the X Series or even Megaman at all, I would still give this game a shot!

Oh TOXIKK...I really wish you could have done more. Everything's here, the tight, responsive Arena Shooter gameplay, the small maps that are fun and easy to memorize, a great price model of Free to Play, no P2W. What went wrong? Was it a lack of adverisement? Did people see you as a UT knockoff? Who knows. I gave it my all to keep playing this game, but there is no one left to play with. I wish the developers the best.

I grabbed this game from the Humble 2K Bundle, and I have to say I'm impressed. This game was fantastic! Expertly paced, great gameplay, overwhelmingly good storyline. I definetely would have payed more for this game. The only downside is that I cannot play the first game because it is not out for PC BUT, if you are the least bit interested in this game, the game basically gives you a "Previously, on The Darkness" type intro to get you up to speed. This is one of the freshest FPS games I've played in years. I can't believe I just played this one!

A fantastic mod. I played it from start to finish. I loved the atmosphere of the game, and I love that weapons are very hard to come across. I was also grabbed by the story. It kept me interested throughout the game, and that's just amazing that a mod for free on the Steam store could do that at all. The only gripe I have is that the zombies could look more visceral. I felt like all of the zombies came from a set of Star Trek. (Red, Yellow, Blue, Red shirts and Black pants) I would also love more zombies to shoot.

Considering that, I give this mod a solid 8/10. Really looking forward to the next act to find out what happens to my lonely fisherman.
