Did drugs to try and get into rehab, bought sunglasses, filled up my trunk with beer, soda and snacks, set off on my way, ran out of money, sold my beer, kept my sunglasses, picked up an escaped convict, immediately got him bodily pulled out of the car by the police as I tried to speed away from them, called my dad to fix up my messed up car, spirits and gas tank, celebrated by bringing a sort of "one last line of coke" vibe to the function that the rehab didn't really like, went back into permanent withdrawal, mugged some muggers, spent weeks trying to stay alive and accidentally made a ton of money, got a job.

A delight every trip. 10/10

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this game, and I'm so glad I took a chance. I didn't know to expect any story, let alone characters to get attached to — and I ended up with both in spades. No critique, no notes, except that I'd like more.

As tempting as it is to 100% this game, I'm leaving one task unfinished. It's what Hal wouldn't have wanted.

I've replayed this game at least four times now, each a few years apart. I don't usually do this, coming back to games. With What Remains of Edith Finch, every time the credits roll, I know I'll be right back at the start once the dust settles again.

From start to finish, this game is obviously a project love and patience. Every time I play it, I find myself caring most about a different family member - despite the fact that nothing in their unique stories changes between playthroughs. Maybe I'm the one that keeps changing.

Anyway, I hate feeling things about things publicly and I don't know how useful this is, but I love this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. I'm going to care about it a lot for the rest of my life.

Well made, polished as hell, and filled to the brim with characters and concepts that are definitely not derived from any existing franchises. Excellent bang for your buck, especially when played with others.
