Easy to learn, hard to master. The first time I played Celeste, I quickly fell in love with the story and the music. Chapter 6 in particular means a lot to me, and I still tear up listening to Little Goth. If, like me, you enjoy purely skill-based challenges, then I would totally recommend casually speedrunning it at least once. It feels really rewarding to pull off skips like chapter 3 demodash / Search skip.

I'm crying as I type this. This game really messes with you. It does its thing and it does it well. You will get attached to the characters. You will love this game. But get some tissues before you get this game, because you're going to cry like hell. Man, I miss Niko. I hope they're having fun in the wheat fields.

Fun, but I wish the multiplayer wasn't such a hassle to set up.

By itself, Starbound is rather open but lacklustre. It's fun to explore and I like the way getting fuel from moons is implemented, but it feels like story and content-wise there is something missing. Luckily, mods easily patch up the gaps and make this game really fun to play with friends. I do wish that it were easier to troubleshoot problems with mods, considering that I only have a few mods (Frackin' Universe, a custom race mod, a mod that changes the loading screen) and now the game barely gets past the loading screen before keeling over and dying. Fun when it works.

This game is like Hotline Miami in space, but more forgiving. It's nice to play, has plenty of variation in difficulty, and is overall pretty fun. If you like strategy and feeling like a pretty cool bounty hunter, this is for you.

This game caused me to develop carpal tunnel syndrome, and I broke at least 4 keyboards trying to play it, and my current keyboard's arrow keys have had the symbols rubbed off from overuse, and my family tried to send me to anger management classes. It's pretty fun, 9/10.

I'm too poor to afford Doom so I put on some metal and play this instead.

Very fun, relaxing game that you can pick up and put down as you please. The lack of pressure or time constraints make this a stress-free game if you don't mind taking it easy. There are a few milestones to help give you some sense of direction - the Community Center, making a million gold, and even Perfection if you're so inclined. It's really grown on me. It can be a peaceful experience, setting up little plots for each crop, or it can be an exciting dash to level 100 in the Skull Caverns.

I acknowledge that this game has a very hands-off approach when it comes to teaching players the mechanics. For players that prefer more direction and more linear goals, I can see this being tough to get into. Play with a friend who knows what they're doing. They can decode the vague goals into more achievable targets, and help make this game an enjoyable experience.
