A bizarre and wonderful game in which you can unleash your twitchy, violent inner nature upon your friends, enemies, and anyone inbetween.

Really good game, 25 frames on minimum settings doesn't do it justice. Go play the original until you have a rig that can run it.

More items, more monsters, more chaos, more deaths, more precious hours of my life well spent.

You'll love this game, your social and work lives won't.

100 percented the base game. 100 percented Afterbirth. Installed AB+. Played an AB+ run. Uninstalled AB+. Installed Antibirth.

I want to like this expansion, but it just makes me sad. I'll wait and hope for patches, but until then I don't know if it's even worth playing.

The original AoM from ye olde disk is fantastic and one of my favorite games of all time. This port, however, is not. It claims to be an "extended" or "enhanced," but manages to look and play worse than the original. I was incredibly excited for the expansion, but was again let down by extensive balance issues that took days or even weeks to fully fix and that a complete newcomer to the game could have diagnosed within their first match. The only redeeming features of this game are that Steam integration makes multiplayer way easier than mucking through Gameranger or Hamachi LAN emulators, and that it runs on Windows 10 (The original version with Safedisk no longer functions on my clean installation of Windows).

While this game is absolutely worth playing, try to get the original version to work instead of the Steam version if possible. Although I cannot recommend this game in good conscience, I will continue to play it for the forseeable future as a (barely) functional substitute.

11/10 would declare war on my firstborn daughter, imprison her, execute her, and seduce my vassals to prevent a revolt again.

You literally can't win but it's still fun.

This is a game about life. And death. And seeing who can beat the crap out of the other guy best. This game is truly a wonderous hacking slashing deathfest of glorious proportions. 9/10 bloody decapitations.
