the greatest horror of all is the subconscious

Deep Rock Galactic is a game about putting barrels in places that they shouldn't be. Most of the game's challenge comes from amusingly janky physics that guarantee that the barrels break the fabric of reality around them and may or may not take you with them.

Attached to this game of barrel abuse is a side-mode about mining in a planet with friends. That part is also pretty good. Rock and Stone

This game is one of those special cases where both the core gameplay loop and presentation are polished to a T. The concept of a fighting game where you damage the other players by smacking a ball around creates that special sort of chaos that is perfect for large groups of friends who wanna goof off or a couple of dudes going head to head.

Of course, as many other reviews have pointed out, the music slaps, but the visuals and character design also help bring the gameplay to life with multiple fun, quirky characters on the roster to choose from. Make no mistake, this game has the personality to match the gameplay.

It's pretty good

This game is really good. Supergiant manages to tell an engaging story with lovable characters through a genre such as roguelite that normally has a much bigger focus on gameplay and maybe an interesting premise if you're lucky. But there is far more to Hades than a mere premise and that makes the game really engaging to play.

This game is fantastic. I played the original persona 4 and found it a bit lacking, but the golden remake pretty much fixes all problems while adding so much to the core persona 4 experience. The characters are lovable, the community in Inaba is believable, and it's just such a charming experience.

Even if you're not into JRPGs, I'd urge you to give this game a try, because I am not into JRPGs, but I found myself captivated by this series in a way that no other series has managed to do.

Play it.

All the satisfaction of cleaning your room without any of the manual labor. A good relaxing game to put on if you have some podcasts you need to catch up on.

Word of Caution: As you can see by looking through other reviews, you cannot refund the game on steam due to it simply giving you a uplay key. Also Uplay and all the joys that comes from that blood clot of a gaming platform. I personally did not have too many problems, but others have so be prepared for that.

As for the actual game it is a lovely, short romp bursting with personality. My playing time is a pretty involved playthrough, but not 100%. I went through and got all the collectibles and fully leveled up, but I didn't grind up the other four achievements. A lighter playthrough will probably take an hour or so off that playtime. But if you are concerned about game length, this seems like a nice game for you to squeeze every ounce of content out of with nothing too unenjoyable getting in the way from that 100%. I'd say pick it up for full price if you're sure you're into this type of game and pick it up on sale otherwise.

Of course if you haven't already, I would go for Far Cry 3 first. That game gives you a lot more bang for your buck and this game just feels like a nice addition for those who would like a second serving of Far Cry fun.
