Short and simple: a great overhaul of a sequel for an already good game.
The soundtrack is kickass and, at some points, does remind me of bits and bobs from Splinter Cell. Graphics are now more refined and prettier but recognisable. The story is quite interesting, and while still pretty simple, it's delivered with ethical dilemmas that I appreciate.
However, I have completed this game on Hard difficulty only yet, and during my playthrough I have noticed that compared to the first game, AI now is much less active in its tactics, seemingly preferring to set up defence in a room instead of rushing and overtaking with pure numbers - it does make semi-agressive play harder but it feels less dynamic that way. AI you escort also tends to fumble up with pathfinding and stick onto furniture, sometimes forcing you to nudge it outward to progress, however that's more of a no-biggie fixable with a patch or two. There is also one thing about controls that was awkward to wrangle: navigating interaction menus. In first game, you could go through these with a mouse wheel but now it's two separate buttons, and from the looks of it, there's no way to revert back!
But tbf, as far as release-day indie games go, and as far as stealth games go, this is good!

overrated Swedish take on Silent Hill

One of the best sandbox games you'll ever witness on this platform.
Too sad we can't meet Garry anymore though :(
