Guns, mods, co-op shooting, dirt cheap, and fun.
A classic well deserving of a faithful remake hopefully in the future.

Wish I could play it for the first time again.

Groundhog day in space

This game has some interesting mechanics and a unique charm.
Maybe I'm getting too old but the in game camera is very jarring. Even after turning off camera shake I can't play for very long.
It might have been if the camera wasn't so tight on the players on screen position. YMMV of course.

If Steam reviews had a less polarizing way to review games I'd put this in the "meh" category.

I loved the visual style of this game. The color pallets are well choosen

But personally I felt that quite a few of the visual effects and camera took away from the flow of the player.
I'd personally enjoy the game a bit more if the was a 'handicapped' option in the menu or maybe even a more forgiving health system (get gud newb).

The only tool this game uses for pacing is addware for other titles from the developer. Which by the way come at the worst possible time. No one will be enticed to play your next game after they die frustrated then are forced to see your add instead of jumping back into the game. Maybe use a billboard next time around?

The feel of the game is right on. The sound effects are just about perfect. Enen though some of the music tracks dont loop 100% smoothly.

So in conclusion;
Has no room for player error
The game rules change very quickly with little warning
Game pace is fast/faster/insane/addware
The game has a great visual direction and overall vision

I hope to see update in the future. Maybe an infinite trance game mode for us filthy casuals too :)

If you like eye candy, self torture, and repeated failure and a good game feel then check this one out.

This is a hilarious rage inducing game of skill.

The community players and developers have cultivated is one of the most positive I've seen. Except those $#!& rage quitters.
I'm hooked like a tweaked out rocket fiend, unable to find a substitute.
I have never spent so much of my life with one video game. I may need an intervention.

I don't remember what my wife looks like and I dream of flying cars that $#!% rainbows.

Pros:
Using mechanics as a metaphor, this game builds a story in a way unique to the medium of video games.
Clever use of enviornental design sets the mood, makes you feel small, and sets tone for the surrounding worlds sub-plots.
Works well with the steam controller when using dual thumb trackpads.

Cons:
No graphical options (AA, AO, etc)
The two brothers tend to clip on walls sometimes (IMHO)
Some minor plotholes when examined under the magnifying glass

In summary this game is a great example of interactive video media as an art form. One that can make you feel emotional things.

I recommend to all video game design nerds and high brow game playing folk.
