Ignoring the microtransactions completely, I'm enjoying this game. I'm glad I waited all of these years to give it a chance. The world is well developed and there is plenty to do that doesn't feel like grinding like too many other games right now. Great mini stories everywhere to explore.

Great new addition to the Theme Hospital and 2 Point Hospital style of games. Love the in game nods to War for the Overworld and other simple comedy in the game. A cathartic. relaxing game.

I gave it a good chance, I love open worlds and quirky settings, but the logic in this game just doesn't make any sense. Just a couple annoying examples: I get why you have to dodge the everyone in towns after dark when there's a curfew, but why do the general bums ignore everyone else and come after me when it's dark? If I accidentally hit the crouch button for just a hair, why does everyone in the vicinity come for the kill? Why are the junkies jumping up and down in puddles of toxic goo, but if I hit the jump button for any reason, everyone again comes for the kill? There's just no consistency and it just doesn't add up. The environments are mostly just the same houses and buildings copied and pasted over and over again. I just don't care about anyone or anything in the story other than finding out where the kids went.

First, it's only a 9-10 hour game, so keep that in mind. I only paid $15 for it and that's about what it's worth. The story is great and the customization of your character makes the story interesting by way of how you want to solve the mysteries. It pulls off the Call of Cthulhu mythos atmosphere greatly. If you've ever played the Mansions of Madness boardgame, think of it as a single large scenario from that from first person. Well done for the price point I paid.

It's obvious from the beginning that this is a console port to the point that the mouse doesn't even work on menus at all. The controls are clunky, the combat is extremely clumsy, and the item management is just annoying as hell. I was already getting annoyed by all of the above, then went down into the basement where there are a bunch of respawning black blob creatures that take several shots to the head to kill and they seem to be able to spawn in multiples and at any direction. Thinking it was just my frame of mind, I put the game down and came back to it after a few weeks and found the problems to be even more frustrating after playing games actually meant for the PC and having great controls (Wolfenstein 2 and Dying Light). I'm deleting it now and I'm not coming back.

Sweet game both coop and single player. Can't wait for DL2!

Ok, I've played quite a bit of VR and I've never had anything make me sick so fast as this. The rocket was boring but ok, the hot air balloon was extremely boring, but the swing made me almost hurl immediatly. I'm going to have to go take a break from VR now just from a few seconds in this game....

I've been waiting for a new Theme Hospital for SO LONG! This is it and it's beautiful. From the music to the intercom lady, it's all just about perfect. The only flaw I can find is that it jumps and stutters quite a bit and I have a pretty hoss computer.

I'm actually looking forward to some DLC to throw money at these guys. Well made guys!

After reading other reviews, I went into this one expecting it to be scary....like Amnesia or Eternal Darkness scary. I was more bored than anything. I quit playing it after running from an unscary Alien a few times.

The control response is terrible. It simply doesn't aim where I am shooting. I know it's a gun emplacement shooter, but even if the game DID aim correctly, I couldn't recommend this game. Too bad I waited to test it so I can't request a refund.
