Great Metroidvania with a focus on platforming.

Albeit a bit smaller than others, this is one of the best card builders out there. Whirling and jumping through the arena, hitting and pushing enemies from all sides just feels incredibly satisfying. And at least for me, calling a game finished without having to put hundreds of hours into it is a big plus!

Great stealth game that combines the well known game of hiding with elements that help you spread chaos and fear!

This is how Open World exploration has to be.
This is how survival has to be.
You don't have to eat a whole cow every 30s, you don't have to read through a thousand wiki pages to find out how to build a chair.
You just have to enjoy swimming with beautiful creatures of the ocean.
And huge scary predators.

Marie's Room reduces the idea of exploration games like Gone Home into one single room. It won't take you long to explore that room, but during your visit you will hear a really well written story and some fine music. Did you play Life is Strange and really loved being in Chloe's room? This feels just like that! Try it out, you won't regret it, especially since it's free!

I almost quit this game after 15 minutes. It seemed too slow, I had no idea what to do and where to go, the map didn't help either. But I played another 5 minutes, and another... suddenly I understood and the game really grew on me.

This is not an action game most of the time. The experience is rather relaxing, you walk around beautiful, hand drawn sceneries while listening to great music. You don't fight most of the time, but solve rather easy puzzles. It is all about the atmosphere and the story about Norther Mythology.

And then there are the boss fights. You need to try them several times, to learn what you have to do. It's more about finding the right tactic than about fast fingers.

The game isn't very long, took me 6 hours to finish, there is a highscore mode, I didn't try that one though.

I am glad I didn't quit the game early, I can even recommend it now!

Some tipps for an easier start:
- If you think you are stuck, use the strong attack
- The map is usefull if you know how to read it: It doesn't show your position, but you can see where you start a level by the cloud symbol, from there you can deduct where you are going
- if a boss seems to hard, try another area, each has a place that will give you a special power
- the game will give you subtle hints where to go next, watch for glowing things...
