The game itself is very good if you play Offline.

Once you go Online, it is completely wrecked for me... Don't get me wrong, we are the 05/03/2024, its been 2 weeks since the game launched so i have waited quite a while for all the Server/Online problems to be solved..

Between teleporting/laggy Druid Rampage ability (i believe any movement ability with a certain speed is affected), sudden lag spikes, lag spikes on entering/leaving areas (On area join, MS goes up to like 400 and then goes back down to 60 after 20 secs) Monolith completion bugging and not allowing for portals to be opened, etc..

Again, the game in itself is very good, combat is fun, even if it will eventually get boring later on, but.... I can't play online, so i can't play with my friends which means I will end up just playing Offline and that is pretty sad.

Anyway if you are not fond of Online, for the Offline part of it, it is well worth it.

Early Access Review
Edited review for Launch
New Review:

Greetings again!

After some more hours of play after the release of the game i will leave a positive review because what has been done is pretty good. However the game lacks content in so many ways that i have stopped at level 70 because after the story is done the game is too repetitive "i know it is supposed to be but... it really looses interest after 50 expeditions" . You just farm the exact same content again and again.

A little problem with progression in expeditions however is that you need to complete 3 in a row to progress to the next step. Now this is not really a problem (was 5 or 6 times in the beta) if we are still immersed by the game. But after doing it 50 times and knowing it's all you have to do for the rest of the game you loose interest, and if sometimes i would login to raise one level before boredom, i remember that i have to spend more time than what i am willing to and i step away.

I played Offline btw because i cant be arsed to level a new character in Online - You REALLY should have given the option for people to copy character from offline to online in the 1st week because lets face it. YOU delivered an INCOMPLETE and BUGGED game with SERVER CONNECTION ISSUES". It's not our fault that those problems happened so........

Now even after a complete revamp, all the problems with launch the game is actually good, but lacking content, is it worth the price ? If you like to do the same thing 99999999 times expecting different results in every try yes since the gameplay is pretty cool (even if again, many bugs exist). If like me you like to be able to do different stuff and work with specific/different goals then no. I am glad i bought it for 20€ in alpha. I would not buy it today in the current state.

Add different end game content so that people have options, that is all (thing that in the real world where we live in i dont really trust it will happen). At least dont nerf Infinity Blades :)

OLD Review:

The game has received several tweaks,

Campaign is "back" ( the old campaign that was available in the alpha felt unique, and was on the good path for an "open world game" and it was replaced by a very poor typical arpg campaign [story seems good for now though but for the time being it is really really small. Of course it will be longer at launch but... how long? let us hope they give a real good and long story before throwing DLC's at us].

Rotating camera felt very good ( still not back, was removed forever with the excuse of spending more time to achieve a better "experience" in the "old fashioned way". Graphics are very good however and the game actually gives a good feel of a semi-techno-magical world).

New skills = 5 (not nearly enough, people such as myself like diversity like other arpg's give you can give 50 different modifiers to each skill you can use per "class", but if you have only around 6 or 7 actual skills to choose from, the skill will always seem empty to me at least).

Soldier of fortune mode ( I am sorry this is just copy paste of all the other games around and since it is tied to the end game i would say it has already been seen too much. Cursed chests [ even the name is the same as another game ] and a shrine that buffs while having to kill mobs to get the effect [Nice since at least its original"ish"].

Alpha had an arena where you had some challenges that felt a little bit odd at first but turned out to be really decent and original [ REMOVED ].

One thing i give the game a real good note for now, is playing as melee, it is really a new, good and immersive experience. I tend to play spell casters everywhere but melee is worth a try here.

With the launch announced to Q1 of 2020, time is now ticking to add a lot (i really mean a lot) of content to make the game worthwhile.

In summary if you are a fan of action rpg's you will most likely find something you like in this game, in the worst case scenario you will hop in from time to time when you are tired of playing all the other games in your library, and you will hop back out to others when you tire of this one.

Price tag still at 29,99€ so in my opinion still not worth the price. Devs should have kept the old alpha feel and this would be the game "that would change them all". I guess we have to keep waiting for that game.

Old review: After playing the alpha for a while and now the beta, this game has a lot of potential, however instead of going forward it has lost several functionalities in the transition to the beta, camera rotation was very cool and was removed, instead of adding skills (that may still come, at least lets hope) a system copied from other games was implemented where you can change the same skills to do different stuff.
General combat feels pretty good even if the current state of the beta makes you always choose the same skill tree talent. Spell caster? Melee? Ranged physical? Toughness attribute to max with the 3% added damage per resistance point is always the way to go.. I m sure it will get changed but for now at least stay away of the beta until they actually release a version worth playing more then 2 hours. Also seriously increasing the price of the beta was a really bad move in my opinion. It is not worth 19,99€ as a game yet let alone 29,99€.
