Even though I die every 5 minutes with my warrior build (passive tree mismanagement probably) I still come back for more. The fact that there is a challenge to this game, that you almost can't turn off your brain to play, makes me appreciate this game. The bosses are just as challenging as everyone claims them to be. They have a series of moves that you have to memorize in order to dodge their moves and land your own. Or else you see yourself constantly dumping potion charges. The normal enemies can be challenging as well if you let them group together and don't have a proper AoE to handle them.

All of this can be seen as a huge problem for people playing hardcore, but that's the beauty of this. It applies a whole new difficulty layer to the players that normaly do run hardcore. It makes you rethink everything.

There are a few minor bugs in this game that can be seen as annoying, but not game breaking. Such as death on the trial runs keeps you from respawning. Instead you have to logout of your character and log back in. Or the passive tree allows you to choose passives when you don't have points to apply, yet those passives selected aren't added to your stats. Like I said, very minor. Just annoying.

I still recommend this game. Especially to the Dark Souls players. This is the proper challenging ARPG you should be looking for.

This is probably the first Final Fantasy I won't be recommending. The story is decent, the music is great, but what really rubbed me the wrong way was the gameplay really deviated from what Final Fantasy was built on.

There's no more party. It's just you with the occasional side character that joins for a mission throughout the story, So no more balancing between magic or physical attack users. No more figuring out the proper stat/ability path for one character over another. You have Eidolons (summons), but they're not party members or do single attacks in the battle. Instead you transform into them in this separate large battle against a single opponent. Think of the Aeries fight at the end of the first God of War.

There's crafting involved. Building weapons and upgrading them, but you gain a pretty strong weapon through DLC in the beginning and don't have to switch it out for awhile. Making collecting crafting materials pretty useless. There's also no venturing out on your town time to collect materials because you gain enough materials to craft weapons throughout the story. On your way to doing missions.

The ability system isn't too bad, but it's not as fleshed out as FF XII or X. I'd say it's on par with FF XV.

These are my biggest complaints with the game. Everything else is fine. Not as great as previous Final Fantasy's, but it still holds up pretty well. It's just the gameplay is a huge turn-off if you're expecting another Final Fantasy. It's really not that.

I told myself before the Witch Queen expansion that I would not come back to Destiny 2 at all. Beyond Light was a terrible expansion and it has shown where Bungie wanted to go with the game. Very little to do during the endgame unless you spend hours upon hours slowly building up your light level. And for what? If you don't have a group of people to play with then there's no playing the raids. Not even on the easiest difficulty. PvP? There's ranked matchmaking, but that's broken it itself because you have to lower your light level in order to be matched with what Bungie thinks is not so good players. Who, in fact, also lower their light levels just to get an upperhand. It's a convoluted mess.

The Witch Queen expansion only adds a decent story. There's also some endgame content you can do after beating the campaign, but then you're still left with a constant grind of daily quests just to build up your light level and to do absolutely nothing if you don't have a regular group of people to run raids with.

In the end it's still not worth getting because you only get a 2 hour story with the latest expansion and no base game story because Bungie felt they had to remove it. All due to "technical reasons". If you're checking this out because it's free then I'm going to save you the time. Don't. There are better free games out there. Only get this if you already have a group of people to play with.

I've had this game for awhile now and only put 44 hours into it. I've completed the main story and the expansions. Right now my Black Panther is the highest level at 33 with a power level of 105. The story is actually pretty good. If I had to rank this with all of the Avenger movies then I would place it above Age of Ultron. A lot of people had complaints about the comic book version of Ms Marvel, but I think this game does that character justice. No identity politics at all. Just her wanting to be a super hero. Her love for the Avengers.

The downside to this game, and I think Crystal Dynamics and Square-Enix messed themselves up for this one in the long run, is the lack of players. After finishing the story it's very hard to get into matchmaking. Not many people play. If I looked right on the Steam charts it says there's less than 1,000 players. There were a couple of times I managed to find 1 other person, but I quit out of matchmaking more than I found players. If Crystal Dynamics provided a fair bit of end game content, and didn't screw up how experience is gained before fixing it, then there would've been plenty of people to play with today.

Still, I ultimately recommend getting this game on a discount. At least to experience the story and expansions.

Visuals are great. Haven't finished the game yet, but it looks like they'll have plenty of end game content. Definitely suggested.

This game brings back a lot from the previous Torchlight games. Unfortunately I wish there was more. They implemented new things into the game that just seems unappealing or you never know where they're going with it. For example the fort system isn't the best. It seems standard and bland. There are also clickable objects that does stuff, but nothing that would affect you or the world around you. It doesn't make the game worse. Just boring. Either way I would still recommend this game if you're looking to scratch the ARPG itch until something better comes out.

I remember when this first came out and there was a lot of people were criticizing this game. For good reason of course. There wasn't much to do and it was bland. Now, a few years later, and after major updates, this game is doing really good. There's a lot to do. You can go on the main story quest or you can just go off on your own without worrying about the main quest. You can build a giant base on land or underwater. After years the devs are still supporting this game. They're releasing an enhancement update in preparation for the next gen consoles. That says a lot. After 30 hours into this game I'm still into it.

Being the first Valve mobile game they actually did a pretty decent job. I honestly thought it was going to be another Lords Mobile cash grab, but there's no microtransactions at all. Well, not yet. I would still assume they would go the way of Dota and Counter-Strike and just do skins rather than P2W judging from how the game is ran.
