Not for everyone, but it's kinda like having an ant farm. You watch the little guys work and occasionally drop napalm and devils on them to see their reaction.

Despite its age, this game holds up well if you like tactical shooters such as Hell Let Loose. My only real complaint is the lack of low ping servers for my connection; most of the populated servers I can find for campaign are above 120ms with random spikes.

For new players: Definitely stick to basic rifleman until you have a few hours in to get used to the way fights flow and iron sight adjustment works. The difference between VC and US weapons and tactics mean completely different gameplay styles and you'll have to adjust to each of them. If you plan on becoming a squad leader or commander after unlocking the option, make sure you have a microphone and your voice chat buttons set up to your liking. This game relies heavily on communication and there's nothing worse than a commander who only types to talk.

Great short film, really brings to life the game's tone and setting. I would quibble a few design changes, but they're minor and logical.

Cons:

* Eternal Alpha

* Bugs/Glitches that interfere with gameplay

* Poor optimization on some machines

* FOV limited to 40-90


Pros:

* Basebuilding and crafting system is functional

* World design is on point, houses seem lived in

* No Day Z fake buildings

* Surviving is an actual challenge

* Highly modular world settings


I've been holding onto this game for a while and was amazed it's still in Alpha. Some friends got it and brought me into a coop game. My first impression was that it's very Rust-esque in practical terms. The starting quests are okay as a tutorial, but the bedroll is crafted too soon to be useful.

The gameplay is solid, though the change in animations with Alpha 18 has thrown many people off when using melee weapons. The complex skill tree has been changed from A16's complex system of many small skills to 5 trees with a few branches and skill books. This has the benefit of planning your level ups easier, but the complex system also gave you task-specific xp in an immersive way.

It's pretty good, I still suggest waiting until they have a final product.

Cons:

* Queue is polluted with farming bots

* Most human players outclass new players

* Remainder of human players are beyond terrible and will own-goal frequently

Pros:

* Gameplay with friends of similar skill can be fun

* Overall game is solid

I imagine this game was great when it came out, but now it's pretty bad if you haven't been playing for a while.

When I got this, I'd expected a BattleZone game with Tron styling. Instead, I got a game that lifts loads from the most recent Tron movie while trying to skirt copyright. The tank combat isn't fantastic, especially the charge attacks combined with bullet drop. The story is stilted and in the way, the graphics are bad even by Tron standards, and the music got on my nerves in a hurry. The only good thing I can say is the basic tank driving was alright until you had to line up a shot.

The best of the Borderlands games

This is where the Borderlands universe works for me. Gone is the looter-shooter grind, in it's place lives some simple point and click mechanics. The only downside is the standard Telltale choices don't give drasticly different endings.

Numerous glitches when loading into the slow servers. My favorite is when I can't control my character so they just land wherever. PUBG is better as they at least let you decide where you want to be on the map.

2/3 Good game for a freebie.

The game is a simple story narrative of two highschool students chatting in AOL. The mechanism behind the game has the same strengths and weaknesses of TellTale's TWD franchise. There are choices you can make which will affect the story, but the ending is the same unless you use one of the easter egg names.

The story is of the PC who is a classmate of Emily. You will chat with her and make choices on what to say or do. In every playthrough I've seen or done, you get railroaded into an ending where Emily becomes disinterested in talking to you and you are forced to log off.

This would be a great game if you weren't forced to play as someone trying to get with Emily. Even your choices to not persue her get changed into noncommital refusals. The sequal looks much better though, so I have high hopes for a better story there.
