A downgrade on BL3 in every way except graphics. Returned to play BL2 and BL3 for a few hours after finishing BL4, and after not loving BL3 when it first came out, BL4 has made me feel much more positively for it.

Bland story, bland open world, bland characters, poor enemy AI, enemy encounters don't feel as frenzied as previous games, less enemy variation, bosses aren't memorable nor do they have fun game mechanics.

Some UI improvements that will hopefully make it into a future BL2 remastered.

Not a huge amount of depth, combat is very samey, ship design is superficially interesting but quickly becomes boring as soon as you realise how pointless it is.

I'm not disappointed because it's nothing like SPAZ (I liked SPAZ but only played it through once, a long time ago), I'm disappointed because i had zero incentive or desire to replay what is a short game - and it seems to have received little to no meaningful work since release.
