Fantastic simulator, highly recommended. The food prep is complicated enough to keep things interesting, especially when a few orders roll in all at once. The temperature over time for drinks and soft serve is brilliant and prevents you from just pouring a bunch in advance. I wouldn't play this alone, but the multiplayer feature is excellent. Zero bugs.

Definitely some room for improvement in a few areas, like multiple burgers per order or multiple orders for a single table, that way patrons aren't sitting at a table with another person, but only the initial patron is eating. Table busing could be improved by allowing you to consolidate trash onto a tray and put another tray below the trash tray. Minor quality of life stuff, I'm super excited for the full release in December.

Early Access Review
I never reviewed this game, but I should have.
The game design itself is fantastic. It's a challenging yet accessible game that immerses you in a fantasy viking world. You can't really ask for much more than that.
The game runs well in single player mode, but the multiplayer code could use some work. Even with only two people on the server, things can start acting funky. If you intend to spin up your own server, throw a lot of resources at it, seems to be the only way to get an experience similar to single player. This is not a game breaker and I've had a lot of fun playing with 5+ people on a server.

Fantastic so far, pretty great server performance for day one. I'm definitely surprised. Looking forward to the optimizations to come.

Edit: Changing this to no. Making me link to a PSN account months after I purchased the game is completely unacceptable.

Changing this to a recommend. Things have been better since the initial pain during the nerf patch. There are alternatives to the meta now that actually work, it seems as though they've reduced the difficulty slighty making the game more accessible to more loadouts. That being said, there are still some very frustrating non-terminid bugs. Crashes to desktop still happen a couple times a day which there is no excuse for. I'm on recent hardware and am well above the minimum requirements. I have not experienced the disappearing primary weapon bug in the past couple days, I'm hoping that's gone for good.

There are other gameplay related bugs as well:
1. I did have a mission yesterday 3/10/24 where I loaded in with no stratagems, despite picking 4 during the mission start phase.
2. Inability to get up for a few seconds after diving seems like it's either a bug or a bad gameplay mechanic.
3. Similarly the inability to use the syringe health item in certain situations, most typically when trying to run from hunter's seems like another poor design choice. It's extremely frustrating to watch your character jab a syringe into his arm, but the health value does not change and you realize a few moments later it didn't work.
4. One of my other favorites is ending up inside the terrain. The only option here is to suicide and it can happen in many different ways. I've been called in into terrain, I've been knocked back by a stalker into terrain, I've also been charged into terrain by a charger.
5. I've also got myself stuck between trees or on other terrain as well. I can usually dive to get out of these situations, but not always.

Despite these bugs, the game has me coming back regularly. I probably would have put down a lesser game after experiencing all of these bugs, I guess that's a testament to the enjoyment this game gives when things work.

The Finals is a lot of fun, BUT until they do something about the cheaters, there's no point in playing ranked.

I've had a cheater on my team that couldn't see their target through the sandstorm on Vegas, but were landing head shots with zero recoil from well outside the visible range.
If you're in a game with a cheater PLEASE press P and report them for cheating. The developers need to implement a real anti cheat, easy anti cheat is a joke. A region lock wouldn't hurt either.

The game was incredibly fun when it came out and got even better with the free Gloomrot expansion. The only paid dlc is for cosmetics. I've really enjoyed going through all the new content and bosses. I highly recommend V Rising. It doesn't feel like an early access game, it's very polished. It's worth way more than $20.

I bought this game 62 hours ago and have already put 28 hours into the game. Incredibly fun, nice little story line with a ton of grinding. The grinding in this game is fun, the fountain gives you ways to modify the dungeons to suit the goal you're after. Incredible design, a really enjoyable little game.

This story taught me how scary the human mind can be. As realistic a mental hospital experience as I can imagine.

Budget Cuts lived up to all my expectations. After years in development, I wasn't sure the game would ever be released. Life got in the way at first, but I eventually got to play it all the way through. Challenging puzzles and a fantastic office structure to explore through. The mechanics are solid and intuitive. The unique teleport system is comfortable and exciting to use, setting up robot ambushes feels rewarding. The knife throwing mechanic is solid and works well on both the Vive and Index controllers. A few practice throws and you're ready to take on a robot army, and you'll have to as you escape the 9 to 5 hell that is... Budget Cuts.
