During the tutorial mission (opening of the game) I ran into the following issues:

* Quest triggers didn't load, so I got stuck multiple times on different parts of the first mission without being able to progress. Example: Stuck in a locked room where a door was supposed to open and a guard enter. Didn't happen, so I was stuck in a small room with no way out. Only resolved by reloading latest checkpoint. Had multiple issues like this.
* Textures and assets didn't load so I couldn't see where I was supposed to go and what to interact with
* HUD didn't load, so I couldn't get quest directions
* Parts of the world didn't load, so as I entered a room, I fell through the floor, because the room didn't exist, and died.

The game was unplayable. The only way to proceed was reloading every 2-5 minutes and hope the world would load in properly that time.

Some negative comments seem to stem from people comparing this game to other games and saying those games did it better. Well. Maybe they did. But here's the thing. It's not trying to be those games, it's trying to be its own game and you know what that game is?

FUN!

It's just plain, good old fashioned fun.

I finished the campaign, almost done with my second playthrough and will most likely go for a third after. Got about 90 hours out of it so far and will likely get at least 30 h more before I put it down.

It's good for casual gaming, it's got some interesting moral choices, especially a choice in the end of the 3rd act (sure, there's not a 3rd "better" option, but the two you get are interesting with long-term consequences).

A lot about the game is about quest/world inter-connectedness (a.k.a. some choice you made in a quest long ago will impact a quest several hours later, or some side quests may impact how things play out in the main quest). People react to your choices and sometimes the order you do things will affect what outcomes are available to you. Good fun if you like that sort of stuff.

So in short, it's maybe not a revolutionary game, but it's plain old fun and very much the sum of its parts, in a good way.

A charming point-&-click adventure game based on old Scandinavian folk-lore.
