It's a roller coaster of a game, between Gothic 1 and 2, I'd say Gothic 1 but only by a little bit. Gothic 2 just expands elements from Gothic 1 and adds new touches while making the game harder if you have the dlc. Progression just got longer when they add an increasing cost for skill points after every 30 points so good luck trying to swing that mid tier/good tier 2h sword in ch. 1

It follows right after gothic 1 (a few weeks in fact) and playing the game right after playing Gothic 1 is a blast, the "nostalgia" of going back to the prison colony is great and meeting old faces is nice.

The DLC adds a decent sized world to explore, the sequel itself is a blast to play and contains
