An excellent take on the series, The Room Three provides more of the same fantastic puzzles the series has come to be known for while adding a real storyline with an interesting set of endings.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn't the slam dunk perfect game that many have called it. It takes a long while to get into high gear, with the entirety of the first 2 locations (White Orchard and Velen) feeling rather dull. There are no major characters to meet in these 2 chapters (or at least no particularly interesting ones), and playing the economy isn't great (you're gonna be broke most of the time).

When you do get to the meat of the game, it becomes a joy to play. Novigrad and the Skellige Isles are beautiful, with great characters and intriguing storylines. You genuinely begin to love the game when you hit these areas, and when the game finally ends, you are left with the beautiful fact that the game isn't over yet. The two major DLCs, Hearts of Stone, and Blood and Wine, give the game the closure that it deserves.

Hearts of Stone is a great way to cool off from the events of the main storyline. No longer holding the weight of the world on his shoulders, you feel free to take on side quests without wondering why Geralt is able to take his own sweet time. If you're looking for intense action, you're not really going to get that here. If you're looking for lovely landscapes, you're unfortunately back in Velen. But if you just want to play more as Geralt, this DLC gets the job done.

Blood and Wine is where the game peaks. The DLC is set in an entirely new area, Toussaint, which feels like something out of a fairy tale. Toussaint is the most spectacular of all the Witcher 3 locations, has some of the most interesting characters, and provides a real lategame to reach in terms of equipment and skills.

When I first played The Witcher 3, I was unimpressed by White Orchard and Velen, putting the game on hold for a month. If, like me you haven't played the first two games, you might feel the same. Not understanding the context of the game is a big hit to enjoying the game. But when I got back to the game after having read the books and got into the real meat of the game, I understood why so many people fell in love with this game. It's the characters, lore, and landscapes that really draw you in. And while the start of the game is rather lacking in both, the game more than makes up for it later on.

Eternal is MTG done right. Free, digital, and with a very generous reward system. Eternal is one of those rare few CCGs with the same level of polish as Hearthstone, Duelyst, or Shadowverse, all while having deeper and more interactive gameplay.

I'd give Eternal a solid 8.5/10.

Crosscode is raw, distilled RPG gameplay.

The game simply delivers. The art is gorgeous, the music...decent. The story is serviceable, the setting being a Virtual RPG world overlayed onto real life. This setting allows for great visuals, although the story itself isn't particularly fleshed out as of yet (early access).

Combat on its surface is an easy to grasp point and shoot/melee system, but the skill required is surprisingly high due to difficult mob attack patterns, and a hard to master dash and shield system. The combat is just fun. There's no reason it should be this fun given how it isn't something particularly new, but it manages to take something old and make it feel fresh. It's something you have to play with to understand. And when you do get the hang of it, the flow of combat is fantastic.

Turns out, there's nothing particularly unique about Crosscode. It's an RPG with puzzles, quests, some storyline, and pixel art. All of these have been done before. But somehow, Crosscode polishes these old tropes into an art. It's a game that doesn't look like it should be this good, but everything comes together to turn out to be a perfect RPG experience.

Edit: Still Good
