Early Access Review
Game 12/365

I thought I would give this game a try as part of a 1 game a day challenge I set myself for the next year.

This is a game I struggled with a bit as it has nice graphics but story cut scenes feel a little dated and I have some weird graphical anomlies on the screen.

Going straight into the game campaign settings, you set out on some basic missions and as you progress you start protecting a village and building your defences. This part of the game was an interesting dynamic and it opened up the game play. For this reason I ended up playing the game a little more than I have anticipated.

The missions that I played felt balanced and I could see me going back and playing through some more of the game. I just found the story cut scenes distracting and the voice acting a little out of place. Putting that to one side, some of the elements I did enjoy and would still recommend it to others.

Game 11/365

I wasnt sure what to expect with this game on the opening play. You are not given much in the way of instruction and you are kinda left to figure it out apart from being told basic controls as you move through the opening staqes.

After flying around a bit and interacting with stuff, I soon found myself being drawn into the gameplay. I could have easily sat and completed the game in a single playthrough. Puzzels were fairly easy as I became aware what I needed to do, also little prompts in the game made it more obvious where to go such as columns of light you need to head too for the next stage of the game.

I cant really say I cared for the story that much and it didnt really add much I felt to the game play so I just skipped past the dialog.

I would say this is a very relaxing game, with some puzzles to get you thinking. i actually liked the game and willl be coming back at some point to complete the game, maybe grab a few more trophies on the way.

Game 10/365

AD is a lovely pixel art game with nice manga style graphics overlaid as the story progresses. You are on the serch for ruins to explore and naturally come across some right away. There is a nice system where you can switch characters to solve puzzels and also a buildings mechanics where you get to place down blocks. As you progress you get to combine stuff to enhance them such as placing down two blocks will turn it into an auto cannon.

I loved the game play and spent a bit of time progressing through the story. What I would say is, saving the game is not possible until you get to checkpoints, so if you plan to take a break or go out, you need to need to get to the next checkpoint or lose your progress.

This is a lovely game which was alot of fun to play. I liked the artwork style and the story was alot of fun as well.

Game 9/365

The Adventure Pals is a cuty platform adventure game. When starting up it did suggest a controller would be better but with keyboard support it was perfectly easy to play using either. The games artwork is cartoony and cute with a strong story line to back up your adventerous exploits.

Gameplay was fun and easy to get around and for the time I spent on it, I really enjoyed the game. I would definately go back to this in future for a bit more of a playthrough.

Game 7/365

I thought I would give this game a try as part of a 1 game a day challenge I set myself for the next year.

The game is really beautiful to look at. You play as a diver in the ocean exploring the hidden depths. As you progress you encounter different aquatic life some more dangerous than others. The control system for the game is easy to get to grips with and you dont need much direction on where to go, the game kinda leads you in the right direction naturally.

It was a very peaceful and relaxing game were you get to take in the beauty around you. I cant say there was much of a story going on but I'm not sure that the purpose.

The bit I played of the game was enjoyable and I would go back to it at some point.

This is a really nice, fun game to play. On starting up the game you are presented with some nice low poly graphics. A short cut scene sets the story for the game. Basically you put on a mask and become a kung fu warrior.

As you progress across the landscape you will come up again various baddies who you use your new found karate skills to take out. The game has a nice system of different karate stances which change your attacks and moves depending on the situation.

On a whole the game play was smooth. Dodging enemies was a little awkward but didnt distract from the game.

I enjoyed playing this game and would definately come back to progress through the game some more!

I thought I would give this game a try as part of a 1 game a day challenge I set myself for the next year.

After installing this on my pc I sparked it up to give it a go. Sadly the game will only work with a xbox/ps controller with no other input device configurable. I'm sorry but if you are going to make your game available in a pc game library then it really needs to be accessible.

As I couldn't play it, its been uninstalled and i wont be going back to it. Such as shame!

911 is an alright game with alright graphics.

You are thrust into the role of a 911 call operator. You have to dispatch police, fire engines and ambulances to incidents around the map. In some cases you take calls and have to go through the dialog making decisions. That really seems to be the extent of the game. It is a top down map driven interface with icons representing the different services. At times you will have more than one call come in and you will have to prioritise which emergencies matter.

I found it entertaining and not too shabby just not sure I will be back to it any time soon.

This really surprised me and I really enjoyed playing it. It was straightforward to setup and get into a game. After dying a few times I started to get to grips with the system and started working through the tutorial quests. The crafting system is pretty good and there is lots to make once you start harvesting resources.

I found it mildly amusing that when I crafted a club, it was a grotesque club with blood dripping down it and bits sticking out of it. Pretty obvious what Im going to be using that for!

The game felt very similar to Fallout 76 but also unique in its own right. Basically whats not to love about crafting and killing zombies! I would be happy picking this up and having a go when Im in the mood. Its easy to get started from where you last left it.

Overall impressions is very positive. I thought this was an enjoyable game that I would be revisiting.

Honestly after installing this to give it a try I found the interface horrible. I mean why would you have arrows either side of the screen resolution that change position when clicking to change the res, its just lazy programming. It means you constantly have to move the mouse to get to the screen res you want.

The graphics are horrible, its like looking at a blurry image constantly and was a firm no from me.

The controls are rubbish, spent 5 mins trying to get my character to walk in a straight line and gave up.

The game is not my cup of tea. If you want to experience what its like to have the eye sight of an eighty year old then go for it but I soon deleted it and wont be revisiting it!
